A: Hi - it does make a faint sound when listened to up close, so it does not have a completely silent movement. Thank you for the question.

Numbers are off but, I love this clock!!!! There are flecks on the wood that make it shimmery. This clock is big and beautiful! It is disappointing that it jump from 8 to 10. At first I thought maybe the piece fell off, but it doesn't look like the piece was even welded or soldered on. I like this clock enough that I am going to order another one and, when it arrives, return this one to the nearest Target one hour away. I will update when the new one arrives!
