A: Hi Cee! Thank you for your interest in Dark and Lovely Fade Resist. We recommend touch-up application when there is about 1/2-1 inch of new growth, somewhere between 3-6 weeks or longer for others, depending on new growth! We suggest following the instructions for a touch-up application.

I asked the company on social media if this is bleach and they said NO, it is a lightener, i proceeded to tell them the product bleached my black shirt like the box bleach and they said like any hair dye products, the product will stain. This is bleach. since the review, i have done my hair 2 more times, and damaged the already blonde bleached hair like chickle, gum stringy hair, that i had before the review. total regret. this is an update on my review. Ill still use it after my hair grows out. i love the price and results.

A: Hi Tiana!Thank you for reaching out with your question about using Dark & Lovely Fade Resist, 378-Honey Blonde over hair that has been previously dyed using 394-Vivacious Red. We are sorry to tell you that you cannot achieve the color result of the Honey Blonde over Vivacious Red. It has to be used on the natural hair color. Color-treated, especially with a darker shade, and a red as well, does not lighten easily!

I actually felt it made it worse as most dyes leave my hair feeling really moisturized but this one made it really hard. It also didn't take on my hair and using it to refresh a fading dye was like I did nothing, possibly even faded it more. It also didn't really have a smell. All in I was disappointed...

Unfortunately after reading the ingredients, I noticed Ammonium Hydroxide as one of the higher listed ingredients. Automatically this is concerning as cleaning products are not exactly vegan and can cause severe allergic reaction. The cream and mask have great ingredients its just the actual "vegan color" that's of concern

This is the best permanent hair dye, it covers all my gray areas, doesn't break hair , long lasting color, keep my hair soft and manageable. I do recommend this product to friends and family.

It comes with two hair dye boxes it’s like a red color and comes with everything you need to dye your hair at home. I applied only one box my hair is dark brown so it didn’t really gave me this red color it only light a bit to light brown. I was happy with my results because my hair was left soft and smelling good.

I was excited about the color because I've been wanting to go red. I thought that this being for black people hair it would work better. It worked, but I didn't really get the color I was expecting. You can tell I colored my hair, but it's not as vivacious as I thought. You can see it in the light really well, but some people couldn't tell until they were up close. I know it's based on the your hair color you have but still would have thought it would be more noticeable. I still liked it, and maybe if I left it in a little longer (I did the max 30 minutes), maybe it would be more vibrant. I still loved the easy process. I'm glad I didn't have to bleach my hair to start. Loved the cream at the end to put on. My hair felt softer after using. I love that it's for my hair type. I will try it again because you can still tell my hair is colored. Hope they have other cool colors to try as well. Also liked that it doesn't damage my hair like other brands I've tried. Would recommend but know color variation based on actual hair color.

For 4c hair, you’ll definitely need 3 or more bottles to get the vibrancy that is advertised. My natural hair is dark brown and back length; on the first day after dyeing, my roots took in the colour more than the hair strands. However, the older it gets, I guess the more the colour comes out. The attached video is about 1+ week after first application. I didn’t want to bleach my hair so I’ll be trying this again but with more than two bottles.

I also love how it tells you how many boxes you need based on hair type and length. Directions were easy to follow and it was easy to apply. The color is a complimentary red and not overbearing.

The instructions are easy to understand . I do wish this took better to the front of my hair better . It certainly took to the lighter hair in the back and my greys but right in the front didn’t saturate as well as I may have wanted . Over all it is a very pretty color

Just be careful, it does stain, and it will bleed for weeks after dying!!
