A: all types of hair. i have applied to bleached hair and virgin hair. results are healthy, but on bleached porus hair it will fry it. I asked the company on social media if this is bleach and they said NO, it is a lightener, i proceeded to tell them the product bleached my black shirt like the box bleach and they said like any hair dye products, the product will stain. This is bleach. since the review, i have done my hair 2 more times, and damaged the already blonde bleached hair like chickle, gum stringy hair, that i had before the review. total regret. this is an update on my review. Ill still use it after my hair grows out. i love the price and results.

A: Great question! The Dark and Lovely Fade Resist Rich Conditioning Hair Color can be used on permed and relaxed hair. Just make sure the kit doesn’t say Hi Lift or Bleach Kit on the front of the box. Those are our super light blondes. Get great hair color, gray coverage and shine with argan oil and Vitamin E

It didn’t lift the hair too fast too bright and the pink did not come out to BRIGHT,. There was not a foul or unbearable smell, which was great to work with.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had a very unfortunate experience with the Dark and Lovely hair dye. After applying the product as directed, I experienced a severe allergic reaction. My scalp became extremely itchy and red, and small bumps began to form. The discomfort was unbearable and I had to wash out the dye immediately. I have never had any issues with other hair dye products before, so this was a very alarming and distressing situation for me. I would strongly advise anyone with sensitive skin or a history of allergies to be cautious when using this product. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my experience and would not recommend the Dark and Lovely hair dye to anyone. It is important to always do a patch test before using any new hair dye product to avoid potential allergic reactions.

Used on prelightened hair. The color was not even close to a violet hue or purple. My hair is ruined!! This color is a dark red hue! I strongly dislike hair that is colored red especially on myself!!! I am so upset! This turned out just really awful. I may have to buzz cut my hair.

We know how disappointing it can be to look forward to a new application of color only to find that your results are not what you expected. Gray hair is sometimes resistant to color. For best coverage, begin your application on the grayest areas and leave the product on your gray hair longer. If you have tried the extended timing and still need better gray coverage, we suggest using one shade darker. If your hair is over 50% gray and you have been coloring for a number of years, the amount of gray you now have may have increased over time. If you find that you are not getting the same color results as in previous color applications, you may need to use one shade darker to compensate for the lack of pigment in your hair.

The color stayed true for a while, though it did fade faster than expected. Overall, a great product for a pop of color!
