Q: May I ask why every recjipe calls for cottage cheese? Is it totally neccessary? Is there a substitute or can it be eliminated? I was ready to use it today and eagerly searched the recipes. None were without cottage cheese.

Q: What is the volume for the cups? "Up to 12g protien" seems low, with 2 extra large eggs having more than that.

A: The small silicon egg cups are 2" in diameter and 1" deep. The volume of 1 egg cup is 1.3 oz or 3 Tbsp. I hope this helps!

A: Hello! Thank you for your question. The Dash Egg Bite Maker is designed to cook eggs similar to a sous vide style. The silicone cups are removable and there is a heated cooking surface underneath. However, we do also offer a Mini Griddle that would be great for fried eggs!

Good for the (sale) price and does what it's supposed to. Am still planning on trying it for desserts (cheesecake) as well. Only thing I didn’t like was the egg definitely sticks to the silicone cups more than I would like.

I made my first "batch" today. I only did a half batch with 2 eggs. The turned out well. My reason for not giving it 5 stars is that there isn't an on/off switch. Plugging it and unplugging it is not my preferred method.

The Dash Egg Bite Maker is amazing. Easy to use. I used to make egg bites/muffins using a muffin pan. Compared to using a muffin pan with liners, this product reduces cooking time. The silicone cups provide a nonstick surface, so there's no need for oil, and the egg bites turn out light and fluffy. I look forward to making bite-sized desserts like cheesecake next.

It was so simple to use and great to basically have no clean up since they cook in the silicone cups. It’s just water otherwise.The only criticism is that it says they should take 7-10 minutes to make. I found they take more like 10-12.

Besides egg bites you can also make grilled sandwiches. My grilled cheese sandwich was made with regular sliced bread lightly buttered on both slices with 2 slices of cheese. Cooked for 5 minutes, came out perfect. I would like to locate the 4” silicone egg ring. Please let me know where I can find one. Thanks DASH!

Absolutely a great product! I couldn’t believe how nice the eggs came out when I made two breakfast sandwiches this morning. This is now becoming my favorite kitchen countertop product. Not only is it very easy to use but cleaning is a breeze. Never have I had eggs that were so fluffy and delicious. Adding a few toppings like cheese and chives made them all the better. I highly recommend this product and will be purchasing one as a gift.
