A: Hi Amy! Thank you for your message and interest in David. Unfortunately, our bars are not Certified Kosher. Our bars include collagen derived from bovine sources and use whey protein as part of our Protein System. David does not contain any pork products. Ok
The protein bars are excellent in nutrition, however for the price, which is higher than most bars, the taste of the bar is bland and tasteless. I don’t mind spending money on a good quality, good tasting bar, but the taste of this bar just does not cut it.

Something off with this order
I have been ordering for a bit and this order is not the same quality as the others. The bar is sticking to the packaging when you unwrap it. The bars almost appear squished. And they are very hard to bite and chew. This is definitely not the same quality as my last half dozen orders.

Disappointed
The nutrition is the best of any protein bars I have ever tried. For this reason, I waited weeks for them to be back in stock - not happy about that wait though. My favorite flavor for protein bars is chocolate chip cookie dough. Dave's, however, are disappointing with that icky color (albeit similar to actual cookie dough), and the texture ( a little too grainy). I am bummed out. I guess I will stick with Aloha bars.

It's like vegetables. Eat because it's good for you.
The flavor is OK. All these protein bars are mostly one dimensional with the main flavor being SWEET! I also don't love the unnatural sandy crunch bits. I don't understand what they are or why something so unpalatable is in the bar. When do you ever eat sand in real life? If they're trying to add textural variety this isn't the right direction.

Superlative protein bar, honest take
This is a superlative protein bar, almost needless to say. The macros are out of this world, so much protein, so reasonable calories! It's almost sad how satiated you'll feel afterwards, haha, sometimes you're like ehh I ruined the next meal because I'm no longer hungry! The only reason I'd dock a star is because I'm trying to reduce my intake of UPFs, but even the company is mindful of that and says that this is a great occasional addition, 1-2 a day max, but the majority of our nutrition should come from whole foods.
