This is one of those no-brainers for me. The store brands work every bit as well as the name brands for a fraction of the price. I loaded my college kids up with multiple cold medications to take to school with them. Seems silly to pay more for the same thing.
For me it works

As an adult who has no trouble swallowing pills, these are physically painful to swallow. I've taken a picture to show the size and how it is much larger than the box's "actual size" photo.
Must try.

A must to try to get through the day with a cold. Phenylephrine is proven not to work anymore but ill still use these because even if it is placebo I need something when I’m sick haha

These pills are ridiculously LARGE! They are wider than the DayQuil ones which I’ve taken before, I choked on these ones twice because they were huge. Not a fun time. So the potency might be good but I will not be purchasing these again because I prefer to not choke and die.

Softgels are huge and no way near the size shown on the box. I bought this medication specifically for the size of the softgels but this is false advertising on the box.

I have a severe allergy to gluten, so the Target brand of OTC medicines has always been my go-to brand when I had a cold or headache. But the recent reformulation of all of these medications is no longer labeled "gluten free". This caught me totally by surprise. Luckily, I found that Amazon Basics OTC medicines *are* labeled "gluten free". I am very disappointed that Target made this change to their medicines.
