Death Wish Coffee Organic and Fair Trade Medium Roast Ground Coffee 10oz

I didn't know how high the caffeine content was until after trying it and looking online, so be careful if you are sensitive to caffeine! It contains at least 141.6mg per tablespoon according to one source I found. The average ground coffee contains between 50-100mg caffeine per tablespoon. It does taste good though!

Medium roast is good as are all your coffee, but we prefer the flavor of the Dark roast.

I was waiting for this since DWC started, but my first 2 bag had some minor problems. Firstly, the flavors come through very easily, but I had to experiment with methods to remove bitterness and harshness. Once I found a method that worked I absolutely loved the coffee that was produced. This method was 32g, gound more coarse than pour over, chemex paper, add 75g bloom, then 2x slow pours of 250 over 60sec with mellow dripper. The idea is to disturb the bed as little as possible (ty Lance Hendrick). Secondly, I amused to having broken beans in dark roasts, but these bags had a significantly high percentage of broken beans. This obviously speeds up the oxidation once opened and can lead to larger fines production in grinding which is why I believe I had to experiment so much to find a brew method that tasted amazing. Finally, this coffee is not what I would call a medium roast, which is a completely person opinion and probably not values le to others, but it is to me.

The medium roast is a nice blend of flavor or richness. Gives you that perfect balance in between the light and dark roasts.

This will last me a about 25 days. And its not a coffee I want to drink 3 pots a day.

I love the medium roast for my ice coffee. Smooth and rich. I use a little more for my hot coffee and just as smooth and rich

From the advertising, I thought DW coffee was really strong, so I ordered Medium Roast. I found it to be weaker than I anticipated brewing with the recommended amount of coffee. I will try Dark Roast next time.

This was my first experience with DW medium roast. I read the labeling and saw organic and fair trade which was good to see but no mention of the source of the beans. Upon opening the bag there were at least two different types of whole beans. Some were definitely darker. After some research it turns out arabia and robusta beans are mixed together. There is a reason robusta beans are generally cheaper due to the taste. The package should state the bean types. The price for a bean mixture like this is out of line.

Coffee is always great. Like both the medium and dark roast beans.

I purchased this coffee for my husband, who loves drinking Deathwish Coffee. He is very pleased with this as well.

Purchased a bag just due to the review of how clean this coffee was. So tried it for about a week. Then went back to my original brand & instantly noticed the after taste, so immediately went back to this brand. Lil higher then I'd prefer to spend but with all the junk out there I'm willing to spend the extra, with the hopes they give good incentives ;)

The coffee was bland. It tasted like hot water with a taste of wood in it. I wish I hadn't spent money on this coffee. Now I am sitting at home trying to choke it down because I have no other coffee to make. Did I learn my lesson, yes.

My size on my clothes matches my coffee, and it couldn't hit better! This coffee is smooth and slaps me awake, as if I was slapped with a velvet glove by an English nobleman! I've subscribed to this coffee for years, and have no plans of changing from it!

Not overwhelming but you know you’re drinking coffee. A wake up but not a jolt. I recommend.
