No additional mattress cover is required, as the mattress already features a waterproof and hypoallergenic encasement with a breathable wipe‑clean cover.

First, it gives me pause that half the labels say "made in usa" and the other half say "made in canada," which makes me think neither is true. Second, the holes in the mattress cover are big enough for baby fingers to get stuck. Lastly, the mattress cover is textured and too rough for a baby's skin.
