The sturdy frame is rust-resistant and very easy to assemble thanks to the stainless-steel screw-in poles. Each shelf is built from manufactured wood and finished with a detailed woodgrain melamine finish. This unit also includes plastic caps with rubber soles that cover the bottom to help protect your floors. This tower can be assembled right after delivery thanks to its no tools needed assembly. Q: Can you put this together without the middle shelf? I want to put a paper shredder on the bottom shelf. If not, can you put this together without the bottom shelf?

A: Hi Clover, Thank you for your interest in our item. There is 13.48" between the bottom and middle shelves. If your shredder can fit in that space, we highly recommend that you assemble the unit with the middle shelf. The item can be assembled without the middle shelf but will greatly affect the stability and weight capacity of the item in use. Q: What is the height in between shelves? I have a machine I want to put on it that's 12 inches in length and 14.5 width that would just be on one shelf.

A: Hi Kristin, As you can see from the picture there are poles on this item that make the useable space on each shelf less than the overall shelf dimension. So, I will give the dimensions from pole to pole starting from the bottom and moving up and displayed from Left to Right, Front to back, and height. Bottom shelf: 19.72"x11.85"x13.48" Middle Shelf: 19.72"x11.85"x8.96" Cubby Shelf: 19.72"x11.85"x3.94" Top surface is 23.62"x15.75" Thanks, Dave
