Q: What’s the difference between the diaper genie select and the diaper genie platinum?

  • A: Diaper Genie Platinum is truly "no hands". Foot pedal opens both lid & door that conseals the bottom part of the bag. Select foot pedal opens lid only. Diaper must be pushed through door.

  • A: Both Diaper Genie Select and Platinum pails are made out of stainless steel. Diaper Genie Select is a shorter in height versus the Platinum. It works with square refills, and does not contain carbon filters. Diaper Genie Platinum, is higher and works with the EasyRoll refill system (easy tear off bags) and includes a carbon filter.

Q: Does the Diaper Genie Platinum seal each diaper in a separate bag?

  • A: The Diaper Genie Platinum does not seal each diaper individually. It uses easy roll bags, which are easy tear off multi-layer bags. Once the bag is full with diapers, you can empty the bag out by making a knot at the top and tearing off the bottom to start a new one.

    Easy set-up, small footprint

    Such an easy thing to set up and have tucked away in the corner of our nursery. It’s sturdy without taking up too much space, and the sage green color is adorable!

    It's all in the title. Both come in handy especially in the middle of the night when Mom's and Dad's energy is low. The Diaper Genie also handles dirty diaper smells well and takes up little space. Worth every penny!

    New Parents

    We recently received the diaper genie platinum as a baby shower gift. I put it together and was impressed with the quality and finish. One of the features we like, is that it’s made of metal. Compared to its plastic relatives, it traps the smell because plastic is porous and overtime could absorb the smells. Only time will tell.

    The best diaper pail!

    I love this diaper pail! It looks nice, is super easy to use, and does a really good job with odor control. I was a little hesitant to buy it because I saw some reviews saying the bags were difficult to change, but I honestly haven’t had that experience at all. I’ve found it really simple to replace the bags. It’s been one of my favorite purchases and definitely something I’m glad I bought!
