Q: The Fourth highlight description of Dickinsons ends with Dermatologist recommended and zero and then you can’t see the rest of that description. What does it contain zero of.

submitted by Inquisitive - 1 year ago
  • A: Hello, The 4th bullet reads as follows: Dermatologist recommended witch hazel that contains zero parabens, dyes, sulfates, or gluten - please let us know if you have additional questions.

Q: Does this contain fragrance?

submitted by Lilly - 4 years ago
  • A: The label states it has Rosa Damascena water in it aka rose water which will naturally have fragrance in it. Also under Aloe it lists fragrance but doesn't specify so if you were sensitive to fragrance I would avoid. You can get regular un fragranced alcohol free witch hazel.

I bought this about 3 months ago and used it for two months. I Love it’s base and with the addition of aloe and vitamin e *chefs kiss*, I will admit I got way to excited in the store and didn’t read every ingredient and I should’ve because all the natural talk blinded me lol. The smell is the equivalent to a perfume. I do have dry/sensitive skin so maybe for the girlies and guys like me could there be a label? Ex: *for combo skin, * for sensitive skin etc. idk if that’s to much but I like if you don’t have my type of/ fragrance irritation problems, get it!

Mad I didn’t try this sooner. It definitely has a soothing, moisturizing feel compared to regular witch hazel. Definitely provides light hydration and not drying with long term use. definitely continue to use this.

I started to use the breathe right nasal strips recently and those nasal strips work wonderfully. Except in the morning when you pull them off. Well I noticed my nose would stay red for about 2 hours. I bought this hydrating toner & apply it after pulling the strip off. It not only feels great, the redness goes away much quicker! See pic, redness is gone.

I use this in my post shave routine. It helps remove the sting and refreshes, the rosewater hides the smell of witch hazel really well.

A Great Product with a lot of History

As a student nurse at Joseph Price Hospital, Philla, PA, in 1920 my mother was introduced Dickinson's Witch Hazel. The students would use a cotton swab covered with Witch Hazel to freshen the scalps of very sick patients who were unable to have their hair shampooed. It was a safe, invigorating method giving an uplifting new lease on many lives. I never go without using Witch Hazel at least twice a day. It's the best!

I was little worried about its smell after reading other reviews. But I actually liked this rose scent. For me, the scent is not strong and I prefer this one over the original one.

Love everything about this toner. It helps remove dirt makeup still on the face after washing, and the cooling witch hazel helps my dryer skin after washing. The rose smell is an extra bonus. I really dislike the smell of the original Witch hazel toner, I will only use this version with rose water

The smell of it was incredibly overwhelming that it left me feeling nauseous for the rest of the day. Each time I reopen to make an attempt to use it, it leaves me feeling sick. I wanted to give it a try, I really did… but if you are incredible sensitive with intense/ strong scents then this skin care may not be the best for you. Yeah it is affordable, but the smell is so strong, I would rather save my money to invest in a toner that works well for my skin, and not leaving me feel regret every single use. (P.s. I have combination skin, (normal and oily) and for sure this did not help, but rather made it worse for me :( ) the only good thing was the price itself, but that’s it.

Smells like distilled Witch Hazel with Rose Water. It's no problem to me, it's something you get used to, but If you don't don't like the scent of distilled Witch Hazel, get an non-distilled product like Thayer's.
