When using this product

When using this product: limit sun exposure, including light from tanning beds, and use sunscreen when going outdoors,do not wax to remove hair in areas where the product has been applied,avoid contact with hair and dyed fabrics, which may be bleached by this product,during the early weeks of use, your acne may appear to worsen before it improves (this is normal),irritation (redness, itching, dryness, burning, peeling or possible swelling) is more likely to occur: in the first four weeks of use; if using more than one topical acne medication at the same time,if irritation occurs, it may be reduced: by using the product less frequently; by using a moisturizer; by using only one topical acne medication at a time,it may take up to 3 months of once daily use to see results,avoid product contact with eyes, lips, and mouth. If contact occurs, immediately flush the area with water,wash hands after use.

Stop use and ask a doctor if: you become pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant, while using the product,you have symptoms of an allergic reaction (such as itching, rash, hives, swelling of the lips, eyelids, and shortness of breath),irritation gets worse,you see no improvement after 3 months of once daily use.

Use once daily. Clean the skin gently and pat dry before applying the product. Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer. For example, if your acne is on the face, apply the product to the entire face. Applying more than directed will not provide faster or better results, but may worsen skin irritation. If going outside, apply sunscreen after using this product. If irritation or sensitivity develops, stop use of both products and ask a doctor.

    Not good for people with sensitive skin

    I’m not sure how to feel

I was using it exactly how the directions say to use it and it was way too much for my skin. My skin became dry & irritated. So I started using it 1-2 a week and that has been much better on my skin but I haven’t noticed a huge difference.

    It worked menopausal acne

    Finally found a product that works!

    The use of the Differin Epiduo Acne Gel has been a lifesaver for me. I have developed adult acne at 52 years old, mostly due to hormonal changes, and have tried anything and everything. A friend told me to try this as it was once only available by prescription. Let me tell you, it has worked wonders and after only 7 days, my skin looks clearer and smoother than it has in over 6 months. I would give it a 10/10 if I could!

    Finally Stopped my Stubborn Acne from coming back

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started using Differin Acne Gel on July 8, 2026 because I had one really stubborn acne spot on my right cheek that kept coming back in the exact same place for months. It was very painful and seemed like it might be hormonal. Since I started using Differin, that acne has finally stopped coming back. At first, I started slowly using the product and used it consistently, which seemed to worked well for my skin. I would recommend gradually increasing how often you use it, especially if your skin is very sensitive. I still have a small bump in that area, but it does not feel like active acne anymore and overall my skin there has improved a lot. It doesn’t have a strong fragrance or chemical smell.  I’m giving it for a 4 star because I did experience some mild itching and irritation while using it. Other than that, I am really happy with the results so far specially after dealing with the acne in same spot for months.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this Differin Epiduo acne gel for about 12 weeks and here is my experience: At first, there is a slight burning sensation and some peeling which is normal for effective acne products as they remove dead skin and promote renewal . However , you need to be disciplined about using sunscreen , the gel and a moisturizer ; otherwise your skin can get irritated when exposed to the sun even if the UV levels are low. It is truly effective treatment . I really noticed my skin be among less oily and acne- prone and I saw some blemishes fade away . So if you are willing to commit to the regimen and follow the instructions carefully , this could work for you.
