Q: Is the readout illuminated?

A: No, it's no illuminated. I can't recommend this scale either way, though. I'm actually looking for a new one to order. It's very inaccurate. I got weighed at the doctor's office, came home and weighed myself, and it was a 5 lb difference. I've also noticed that my weight is different depending on where I have the scale sitting, even if I weigh myself back to back. It has been up to a 6 lb difference! Not at all worth the money!

A: Thanks for your interest in the Taylor scale! All four feet must be flat on a hard surface during use. If the scale is moved or picked, it must re-calibrated. This can be done easily by pressing on the scale to turn on, allowing it to zero and then turn off. The scale is now re-calibrated. A: This Taylor glass scale measures weight only - It does not measure BMI. There are other Taylor scales on target.com that will measure BMI if you want to look for a different scale.

Not accurate at all. Worked for the first day or two and then the past few days i will weigh and be 5-6 pounds heavier and then step off and be 3 pounds lighter. Doesn’t make sense and is not accurate. Will be returning!

Reads 30-50 lbs off at best. Told me that I weigh 30 pounds. Tried resetting it several times, looked up the item on the manufacturer's website and it just does not exist. Will also read under a hundred pounds, then jump to the thousands, then reads 18, then E03 (could not find an error code correlating to this), to finally switch to kilograms and get stuck on 50. Then it won't turn off until you remove the batteries.

This scale was off by almost 20lbs. I’ve been on a weight loss journey and was close to almost 30 lbs down using this scale as it was consistently going down. Got a new scale, and I’m 30 lbs heavier than what this scale tells me. DO. NOT. BUY.

I’ve bought this scale twice and this scale has tapped against the bottom of the toilet and shattered everywhere. Worked well for over a year until the first one shattered.

These scales work off pressure plates. To some degree, that means they need to be in the same area to give similar readouts because the firmness of the floor will change it. However, for this scale, at the same spot it will give wildly different read outs. I have yet to get the same read out twice, I opened this package yesterday. If you're trying to lose 50+ lbs, maybe knowing your weight is trending downward in general is enough. But if you want the scale to just be aware of your weight, or to accurately log loss pound for pound, it will not work for you. I will be returning immediately.
For it to be a bathroom scale it should not be in the bathroom because if it gets wet, it don't work, right

It worked for about a week, then started glitching every time I turn it on, while nothing is on it it flashes a bunch of random numbers, tells me I weigh 3,000 lbs lol. My boyfriend took it apart to look at the sensors and said they’re really cheaply made, it can’t really be fixed.

Do not buy this scale, it is not accurate at all! I can step on the scale the separate times and it will give me three different numbers that are 20-30 lbs apart. Ridiculous

I’ve never written a bad review but this product is so bad. It went from 120-150 within minutes so I have no idea what my actual weight is. It is extremely inaccurate it’s crazy this is even allowed on shelves

If I could give it 0 stars I would. So disappointed. Wish I read the reviews before ordering but I just wanted to order the cheapest scale I could to start a weight loss journey. Im an obese female with the BMI of 30. There's no way that the weight shown on the scale could be right as soon as I turned it on I seems like it could be at least 50 pounds inaccurate. I just opened it and put batteries in it and it is wrong as soon as I first tried it. What a waste of my money and now I have to wait until payday to see how much I weigh on a different scale because I spent my last on this one. Do better target

This scale is about 5 lbs off. When I go to my doctor's office or somewhere else with a scale, it's always about 4-5 lbs higher than this scale. I have had this for a while though and haven't had any other issues with it. I just log my weight by adding 5 lbs. I wouldn't buy it again though.
