Features a molded carbon fiber design with solid construction core. The scale can provide comfort for most foot sizes with four sensors to provide accuracy up to 400 lbs (180 kg). The large 3.2" x 1.5" display indicates weight in bright red digits making it easy to read. Utilizing instant on technology, simply step on the scale to get the weight reading. Q: Is the top non-slip? Or is the top is smooth glass?

A: The plastic platform surface has a molded carbon fiber texture aiding in slip resistance. The glass is contained within the plastic base for added durability and is completely concealed.

Q: Is it made of glass? It does not say what the "solid construction core" is made of. I have heard of glass scales breaking leaving pieces of glass around the bathroom. My previous scale was metal and plastic.

A: The Taylor Carbon Fiber Digital Scale is made of plastic (top and bottom) with a carbon fiber texture on the top surface (platform). Inside of the base is a durable, tempered glass core (which is not exposed), adding strength to the plastic platform. Please reach back out if you need anything else. Returning!
I really wanted this to work bc it’s plastic, lightweight and small, perfect for traveling in a carry on suitcase. However, it gives inconsistent readings. I’d place it on solid, flat surfaces and it would change the reading each time. I wouldn’t do that in the first place if it zeroed out right when turning on but it’d always start at 3.0 then flicker to 0.0. I have other glass surface ones at home and this was off by a pound. As someone who tracks daily and then takes an average, I need the accuracy.

I am 300+ pounds. when I opened it it looked dirty and I put batteries in it put it in pounds and stepped on it and it said I was 100 pounds It is also smaller than expected.

Very convenient slim design fits under anything for east storage in my tiny apartment. Happy to find a scale that also doesn't have a glass top
