Dinner Disposable Plates 8.6"x8.6" - 20ct - Sun Squad™

Do not use hot food on these paper plates. I had bought 2 packs of these and were not my intention to use for hot food. I did use one plate to fix myself a quick bite and to my surprise the dyes on these paper plates once it is hot turns your food blue. Toxic. If you have bought these and planning on using them use them for cold food ONLY. Unless, you are ok with eating blue food. There should be instructions on the back of these paper plates specifically stating not to use hot food due to the color rinsing onto the food.

The coating on the top of the plate made these more durable and the colors are so cute, family friendly, and great for kids and adults. You can see in my picture that I made myself an avocado toast, which is pretty lengthy being it’s sourdough bread which comes longer and that fit on the plate so that should tell you the size of the plate is perfect for most food items that you’re going to put on it. I do like the design and how they coordinate with the star designs of the available cups and popcorn buckets. I will use these for lightweight snacks for my kids, though they don’t feel sturdy enough to hold a plate full of food. I think it would bend. Size wise they seem on the smaller side to be used as a “dinner plate”. I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Sun Squad Dinner Plate comes in a fun 4th of July inspired pattern guaranteed to make the holiday all the more festive! The size of the plate is standard and comfortable to hold. It is not sturdy so I definitely recommend food of only lighter weight and limited sauce be placed on this plate. For the price of a 20 count, however, you can’t beat it. I served my daughter her snack (broccoli & carrot cheesy tots) on this plate and she got so excited! Would purchase again! It’s a lightweight plate that held up to the microwave for 30 seconds (it very likely could go for a lengthier time and be just fine). It didn’t bend or break or become over saturated with the weight and heat of the food. My biggest qualm is the price of the item for only 20 plates- it’s not a good “bang for your buck” kind of deal. The price is a little steep for just a count of 20 plates but still worth it if you are trying to accomplish a red white and blue theme for the upcoming holidays.
