    A great product ruined by changes over the years.

    They changed the simple recipe of just beef, potatoes, carrots and gravy years ago and now using cheap processed beef cut with textured soy flour, mushroom extracts and other "flavor enhancers" and sugar. I miss the original version, and will never buy this again. I've tried it a few times since the change, and it reminds me every time to never buy it again. It also just seems to get worse as the years go by. What was a pantry staple is no more.

    I would not buy again

    I'm not sure the ingredient list is accurate. I have allergies to onion and garlic. I don't see these on the list, but I ate the beef stew last night and have been sick ever since. Can you verify what is actually in your product?

    Change of taste

    I've been eating Demi Moore Stew for at least 40 years. The last can I open up and ate I noticed a distinct change in the taste. And not for the better. I don't even ate a small portion of it and stop very disappointing. Been something I have enjoyed for many decades .

    The best canned product on the market...Ruined!

    You know the story:hide inflation, cheapen the product, add soy and reduce good meat. What a tragedy. This company could introduce an original version of this product like totinos ultimate and thrive.

    Not really beef is it?

    The product is sold as a beef stew but the ingredients have it as beef crumbles which is beef mixed with soy protein. This is exactly how it's tastes, like tempeh or a meat alternative.

    I will not purchase again

    What have you done? Dinty Moore beef stew has been a staple in my home over 40 years. I recently purchased and the meat is ground up meat and fattier as you can see the fat sheen on the gravy. The gravy was light brown instead of dark rich.

    I would buy this product again.

    I use to complain about the amount of beef. The last can I bought was loaded. Let's hope Hormel keeps this trend! I will be a customer for life if they do!

    Never buy it again

    This used to be pretty good, now, it's filled with almost nothing but a lot of potatoes and carrots. My dogs won't even eat it.

    I won't be buying this product anymore

    I have photos between the meat, carrots and potato ratio. It's at least a cup of potatoes, maybe 2 1/2 meatballs diced up if even that and maybe a handful of cut up carrots the price of this product is expensive considering you're weighing the juices in the can itself it's false advertisement. The meat ratio is way less than the potato ratio.

    Not tasty like before

    Been craving some Dinty Moore beef stew. Went grocery shopping and bought me a small can. I asked hubby if he wanted me to get a bigger can. He said " no cause it doesn't taste good". OMG he was right. Meat, potatoes and carrots were good. But the gravy tasted greasy and not beefy like before. Noticed it was paler in color too. What have you done to my favorite lunch item?

    Hardly any carrots, and the few you do find, are just small fragments. There used to be several large slices of carrots that were part of a pleasant medley. #BringBackTheCarrots

    I would not buy this or accept it for free

    I was given the ready to eat single serve portions beef stew and chicken Alfredo. I checked the expiration date before solidifying my opinion; i thought this was dog food after taking a bite of the beef. It doesn't feel like or taste like beef I've consumed before. Maybe it's the brand because I do not buy premade soup. My cat didn't want it either and he's not picky- he eats onions and garlic and taco seasoning. The gravy is plasticky... It gives me the sense of the game of pretend I used to play as a pre-schooler with the plastic food for the playset. I've had MRE's that felt safer to eat than this "meat". I'm not excited to try the others I've been given. I'll probably just eat rice. Thank you for the attempt and thank you for listening.

    I love Dinty Moore Beef Stew

    My family loves Dinty Moore Beef Stew and it's our favorite canned soup. The stew is hearty and eats like a meal. We love it just plain in a bowl, but it is also very good over rice.

    Great product

    You must have done something different to it than what it used to be. The flavor is much much better, more beef in it, stew is very tasty. Goes great over rice or biscuits.

    Weird taste and textures, NO CARROTS at all!!

    I bought the largest can earlier this evening like I have done on many occasions. But once I started eating the stew, I noticed the different taste and texture of the stew. The stew was thicker and tasted different. The meat and potatoes were different too, actually bigger than usual but the potatoes were not cooked right. Meat was ok, but then I realized there were absolutely no carrots in the whole can!! What's going on Dinty Moore?? Did you change your recipe for the bad? I hope not because I will not be buying again if that's the case.

    nah, peeps here keep slandering the GOAT of canned beef stews. It tastes good, has a fair 25g of protein in da big can, and is genuinely super simple to make! It's deadahh saved me so much time... 🥹❤️‍🩹 The only thing I do, is let it reduce/simmer a bit until the stew is nice and dark and thick. You can probably add some cornstarch or flour, too. Aftawords, just serve and enjoy. Whenever I go shopping I always try to get a can; it seriously comes in handy... dats all. try it for yourself; let it simmer until fairly thick. random cool guy out...
