Review Quotes
An excellent and highly practical introduction to working with German business partners. I particularly like how she uses not only her own extensive knowledge but also the rich experiences of business people from all over the world. Highly recommended.--Robert Gibson, Interculturalist, Author of Bridge the Culture Gaps
Books in this category are full of dull statistics. This book is different. The author's narrative is interwoven through all the facts presented here. Even geography and economy of Germany become interesting to read. The chapter on German history is concise and truthful. The illustrations and anecdotes make it a racy read. I was hooked from the Preface itself and the reading made me recall my few meetings with Germans and I understood the few awkward moments. The author uses several Indian situations. She has many contacts in India. Her treatment of loaded cultural issues, with their undercurrents of confusion, hostility and hurt, is deft. The book is light but packs a punch. I whole-heartedly recommend it.--Vasudha Joshi, Retired Associate Professor of Business Administration from Ness Wadia College of Commerce, Pune, Maharashtra
With the unhindered march of globalization and demographic development, immigration and integration of foreign employees in Germany are hot topics today. The new chapter in this book asks and answers precisely those questions that foreign employees will have. A must-read for every foreign professional who wants to make a successful career in Germany.--Manoj Barve, India Head of BVMW
