My favorite brown sugar! I love the taste and texture when baking with this. I also appreciate it being safe for multiple food allergies in the home.

If I could give a negative number of stars I would. The entire order’s items were thrown into a box without any packing material. One of the hot cocoa bar packages was completely torn apart and scattered around the box. The dark brown sugar is obviously old because it’s not soft; it’s in pieces that are hard as rocks. This isn’t the first time I’ve received a Target order in bad shape. It’s just the first time I’ve decided to make it known with a review. I may be done shopping at Target…online and in store. I expect more from Target because the prices are higher than their competitors. I don’t recommend anything that is Target anymore.

I have to order Domino dark brown sugar online at a premium price because no brands available locally have the same outstanding taste, rich dark color, and moist texture. I was therefore pleased to find it available for a substantially lower price on target.com. Disappointingly, this Domino Dark Brown sugar sold in two-pound bags by Target is dry, sandy, and pale - nothing like the sugar I buy online. The picture shows the difference in color and texture between the Domino I'm used to and this Target version, which I'm returning.

I love Domino light or brown sugar and think it is the best! I moved from the east to Texas and cannot get it in the area where I live. I was making blonde brownies that had been a recipe in our family for over 50 years. I tried different brands of brown sugar...several times because it was all I could get...and they were not as good. Brownies were super sweet and fell apart. I had a family member send me Domino’s from the east and my brownies were back! Just the right consistency...just the way we like them. The taste was rich! I was happy to discover that I can order this through Target...I had looked everywhere! My baked beans are slow cooked for three hours using the Domino’s dark brown sugar. They are the best! I actually prefer the dark brown sugar in most things. Chocolate chip cookies...the light brown sugar. Don’t over bake and they will be chewy...if you like them that way. If you ever try Domino’s I think you will be happy with the results.

Great product, great value

Bakers note, dark brown sugar is much more richer and deeper in taste than light brown sugar, with a significant molasses flavor! It's nice if you want additional flavor, but when I tried to make a syrup with the sugar I had some issues with it clumping up and creating hardened sugar bits.

I love using dark brown sugar over light brown sugar because dark brown sugar lasts longer and will not harden. Like light brown sugar does.
