Bring back the 48 hr one
I've been using. This deodorant scent since I can remember, I typically get the 48 hr one until recently when that wasn't an option so I was forced to get the 72 hour one and wish I hadn't. This new formula doesn't work as well as the last one and after using it for some time have noticed that it leaves a powder residue on my clothes. I had a 48 hr one left and used that for a week to compare and sure enough it wasn't an issue. I wish I didn't have to switch but this might finally have me changing brands, which I'm sad about because this has been my scent for many years. I wish they would have kept the 48 hr as an option

Not good anymore
The new formula is awful. The smell is sharp. No better word to describe it. It used to be fresh but now it is very chemical smelling. The new formula is causing my armpits to be itchy. The old one was smooth and hydrating. After many years of using Dove I am going to need to switch.

I've used this deodorant for at least 10 years!!!! Recently it made me break out in a horrible rash. Why change the formula?!? If it ain't broke..... I now have to go on a search for a new deodorant.

Won’t but again
Loved this for years. The new stick I just bought leave my armpits sticky. It also has a very unpleasant smell. The cucumber smell was very soft and fresh, the new stick is very strong and overpowering. I can smell myself all day and it’s not good. I’m very dissatisfied with the new formula and will unfortunately need to find a new brand to replace Dove.

New formula is so bad
The one with aluminum zirconium tetrachlorohydrex was great! I’ve been using it for years. But I just got two new sticks that smelled so sharp and awful from the get go. The new active ingredient seems to be “aluminum sesquichlorohydrate.” It is SO bad. The bottles look the same except for the active ingredients. I can’t use the new ones. I smell so awful that I can’t stand myself.

An Unfortunate Reformulation
I've used the cucumber Dove deodorant for over 15 years, and purchased a new stick this afternoon. What a disappointment! This new fragrance isn't anywhere as pleasant as the previous scent, and even worse, it is EXTREMELY loud and overbearing. It is very powdery and sharp. Nothing like the tried and true Cool Essentials I've used for years. I loved the old formula for so long because of how soft and inoffensive it is. This is very disappointing and I hope Dove returns the Cool Essentials/Cucumber deodorant to its former formulation.

Why Change the Formula?!
Please please please, go back to the old formula. I suffer from migraines triggered by smells and it was so wonderful to have dove cool essentials work for me for years! I opened a new pack and I was sick within a couple hours! I thought maybe I got a bad batch, but comparing the ingredients and, nope, you changed things! Whhhhhy? The scent now is utterly unbearable for those who don’t want walk around smelling like deodorant and/or are sensitive to chemicals that could trigger migraines. I’m now scrambling to find another alternative. To go from fabulous to terrible, such a disappointment.

Used to be Effective.
I've used this deodorant for 2 years now. I usually use deodorant a couple times a day, maybe 3x a day if it's particularly hot, never had a problem with odor using this until the formula switched. I have to use it 5x a day now. That's on a day when I'm not sweating a lot. I'll have to find a new brand now because it's wasteful. To make a product then that product not work properly means you also wasted resources producing it.

Don't like the new formulation
As someone who has used this product for many years, I was disappointed to find that it has changed. The feel of the product on my skin as it goes on feels "slicker", and never seems to quite get dry. My underarms stay feeling "wet" and I don't like that. Please consider going back to the old formula. Unfortunately I now have to find a new deodorant.

Same packaging, totally different product.
It’s disappointing when a company you trust changes the formulation of a product you love. It feels especially tricky when they don’t indicate a new formula on the package, given that many people are allergic to harsh chemicals. (If you are able to read 1 mm print, you might be able to see that the active ingredient is different and at a higher percentage than the previous active ingredient.) The cool, fresh, coconut scent of this deodorant that I have used and recommended for 20 years has been replaced by a chemically, sickly perfumy smell. I could taste the product in my mouth and feel it in my nose when I applied it under my arms, always a red flag to me that my bloodstream has absorbed something toxic. I haven’t experienced the underarm burning that others have reported but I did get a pounding headache the two days I tried to wear it. I am going to return it for a refund, but I am sad to have lost trust in Dove as a company.

Don't waste your money
The smell is soooooooo strong. I've used this exact product for many years and the new formula smells horrible. My cat even smelled it and disapproved.
