Dove Beauty Sensitive Skin Moisturizing Unscented Beauty Bar Soap

What happened? The ingredients read the same but the packaging says "Made in Germany" now and there's a big difference in smell. The smell is terrible and it feels different. Please go back to the old formula.

I’ve used this product as my go to for as long as I can remember and all of a sudden I’m now getting dry flaky rashes all over my body. You changed the formula and seriously messed it up. You did this once before with your moisturizer and if I recall correctly, you changed it back. PLEASE PLEASEgl back to the old version.

I have eczema and had been using this soap on my body and face for the past 15 years. It was my go to product. I noticed a weird smell when I opened up the last package. I’ve also been having rashes. It appears this product has been reformulated. I’m extremely disappointed! Dear Dove, please bring back the old, time tested formula or we will have no choice but to find a long term alternative. Sad face.

I’ve used this product for 10 years and loved it. I opened my new pack (the packaging says sensitive instead of sensitive skin now), there was an immediate smell difference. I also have been having a horrible rash and burning skin sensation. I did not think it was the soap since I’ve been using it for so long. I’m guessing a formula change.

Used to love this, now since opening a new pack my husband has red splotchy rashes all around his torso!

I have contact dermatitis and have used Dove Sensitive Skin bar soap for years and years and never had an issue until recently. Over the last month, I have developed rashes on various parts of my body after use. I don't know if Dove changed something the ingredients or what, but if you have contact dermatitis, I recommend you stay away from this product. Dove, if you've changed ingredients in this bar soap, please change them back to what they were originally.

Been using dove sensitive skin soap for years. Bought a large quantity of bars and they all smell TERRIBLE I’m guessing the formula has changed or this is a bad batch, Smells Aweful!!!

Used for years. New formula is terrible. Smells bad and makes my skin itch and burn.

I am VERY dissatisfied with the new Dove Sensitive Bar Soap! Causes red itchy patches on my skin... all over! I've used Dove Sensitive Skin for years. Only one I've found that works on my skin; have contact dermatitis. Wish you hadn't changed the ingredients! I'll not buy another bar! I've enuf trouble with my skin without adding this to the mix!

After supporting this bar soap for SO MANY YEARS / returning again after trying new liquid cleansers you can only imagine how terribly disappointed I am with this sensitive beauty bar that I just purchased...If this is a new formula as I see stated in other reviews I will never be purchasing again...a mistakes has been made and you will regret / even if corrected many users will have moved on....the stench of this produce it undeniable....BIG MISTAKE

Dove Sensitive!! The new formula is not good it stinks really bad and it Causes rashes. PLEASE GO BACK TO OLD FORMULA. I have to find something different now sad day :(

I am attempting to replace a soap from a company that makes a nice soap but has quality control issues. This soap I am looking to replace leaves my hands feeling clean and it does not impart any scent on my hand. For “fragrance free”, this soap has a very strong smell. The smell is imparted on your hands and they will reek for quite a long time. But even worse than the smell is the slimy feeling. No matter how much you rinse, your hands will feel slimy. I had to wash my hands multiple times with a different soap to end up with slime free, clean hands.

This was the only soap that helped me from breaking out, now it has a horrible smell and makes me itch. Why would they change a perfect soap, makes absolutely no sense

I just bought a new package of bar sensitive soap. I’ve been using this for years and now I have a rash and pimples all over my face. I’m 60! It’s the only thing I can use and it smells off and is NOT the same. Terrible! Why change a good thing? So disappointed!

The unscented was exactly what I needed. No additives. Dove is a great product and they do great things.

Why did you guys change the formula to the Dove unscented sensitive skin. I have used this soap for years on my face and body and just recently started using it on my toddler. But this new formula burns!! There shouldn’t be fragrance in unscented soap. Please change it back!!!

These are supposed to be unscented but the smell old! Disgusting!!

I have a fragrance allergy and sensitive skin, so I have used Dove Sensitive Bar Soap solely for my face, hands, and body for years because it was the best fragrance-free, gentle, moisturizing soap on the market I could easily find in stores and stock up on. Recently I started breaking out in dry skin and bumps, itching, and my eyes burning. I noticed some of the newer bars I bought smelled a little odd when I got them from the packs (like a chemical, musty, old vegetable smell), but thought it was the plastic wrapping and didn’t see any “new formula” statements on the package, so it was not first on my mind of what was bothering me. I had not changed anything else, so I was at a loss for why I was reacting to something. I just realized when looking at the ingredients of all my products that Dove did change their formula for the sensitive bar soap. I’m not sure why they would change something that was working. The other Dove Sensitive products are not fragrance-free either (which has always been odd to me) and the baby soaps are harsh on skin, so I am not able to switch to another fragrance-free Dove product. Guess it’s a sign of Dove’s decline in quality, lack of care for their sensitive and allergy-prone customers, and time to find another brand/not recommend Dove to anyone else anymore (especially if they have allergies and sensitive skin).
