So glad I bought this for my grandson.

Wonderful!

Such a fun tool
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two girls, 4 and 5. They both really loved using this and practicing their skills. The visual response of red or green is very helpful for them to see. However at one point all the answers were showing as "red" even though they were right. Perhaps this was due to a low battery? Overall we really loved this!

Super fun

Doesn't even know it's learning!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter had so much fun! Forgot she was even learning, it was more of a game for her! She's been playing with it for weeks now! I always was terrible at math so it makes me so happy to see my daughter so engaged in maths!

My child loves it!

I love that she has something to do that's actually educational for her as opposed to just watching videos on a tablet. Would definitely recommend this product!

Easy to use and fun!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids love the Hot Dot series, from pre-k reading to kindergarten reading and science. Now, we can add this to the list. My kindergartner can sit down with her pre-k brother and read instructions to him on the pages, then they answer them together. This is a great way to interact with your kids while still learning during entertainment.

Keeps my kids busy

The design of this book is awesome and it looks very durable which is great for my toddlers. I plan to buy the other books. I would recommend this.

Great idea, poor execution
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had high hopes for Hot Dots, but I am a bit let down. I thought this was more of an independent learning tool, but because the age group isn't able to read, I need to read the instructions to my 4 year old so she knows what to do on each page. Would be great if the pen would read out basic instructions for the kid for each page. It would also be great if the pen would still work when taping the correct answer, rather than just the black dot below it. Overall, we like this and we plan on buying the reading one as well. We are just disappointed that my daughter can't use it independently even for a short bit of time.

Fun & educational with little guidance
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a fun and educational toy. My daughter instantly loved it and so did I. Honestly I like the fact she can basically do it on her own, with little guidance from me. I was impressed with how quickly she learned how to use it and do the problems. My daughter just turned four and had no problem doing the math, which I thought she wasn't ready for. Definitely give this a try the results are fantastic! I have already recommended this to all my mommy friends, and purchased the flash cards.

This is cute and I love that
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is cute and I love that, compared to say LeapStart, I didn't have to download any audio/data - it was ready to go right out of the box (with some batteries, of course!). I was going to purchase a LeapFrog LeapStart, but the numerous frustrations I read about with downloading the audio/data pushed me away from what I thought would be a cool product. This seemed much easier to use. There will definitely be a learning curve with how it works, but I think it is a nice idea. Additionally, there are some questions written above, so these would need to be read to the youngster by a fluent reader so that the learning activity made sense. It's not like LeapStart, which I believe just speaks to you, so there may need to be some adult supervision/guidance.

My kids love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids love this! I like that it's not just about math. The other subjects are shapes, sizes/opposites, patterns and colors. I don't think that it's completely independent learning, because you have to be able to read to know what the questions are, but these are great to do with your kids. My 3 year old got the hang of it very quickly and has a lot of fun with it. I would like to get the reading pre-k version as well. I also think that it would be a great activity for in the car.

Phenomenal

They feel accomplished when they see the green light appear. I plan to look for the rest of the books to help my children with school. I will recommend this to family and friends who have young children.

Better than expected
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was better than expected. The way they make math fun is above exceptional. My child is almost 3 and it was able to keep his attention. I love how the book interacts when my child chooses the correct answer which then stimulates him and makes him want to Continue on. The design of the book and the pin are more durable than I expected. Yes the book is flimsy but overall I believe that it would withstand a three year old. I plan on purchasing other items from this company and I would recommend others to do so also. Making math fun let alone any school subject is a hard task to achieve, but this product has done just that. So if your on the fence on purchasing this product. You have to ask yourself, what do you have to lose, other than your child's education. Buy Buy Buy!!!

Independent Educational Activity!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought Hot Dogs was a great educational opportunity. It is a simple method for teaching children numbers and counting. I would have liked to see the pen work with the words, as well. It could help children learn to read or recognize words.
