I had an automatic one it just got so annoying by it not working properly that I really wanted a simple step trash can. This one is exactly what I was looking for. I do like the two compartments inside. It helps me to separate my trash easily or if you don’t want to have two compartments just take them out. It’s simple to change out the trash bags as well. Only thing is it comes with only two bags so you would have to buy their bags separately.

When you press on the pedal the lid lifts and slowly goes back down when released. It comes with 2 trash cans so you can easily separate your recycling. The stainless steel looks very sleek in my kitchen. I would definitely check this out if you are in the market for a stainless steel recycling step trash can. I know you will like it as much as I do.

It’s lightweight, so you can try it out in multiple places in the home without breaking your back. I love that it has dual compartments that you can use for recycling versus landfill trash. Or, if you already have a recycling receptacle, the dual compartments make a great “overflow” preventative measure. The stainless finish is aesthetically pleasing and blends well in kitchens with stainless appliances. The step-lever allows you to open the lid so the out touching the surface of the lid, which comes in handy if you have a bit of a sticky situation on your hands that you’re trying to dispose of neatly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This trash/recycle bin works great for a small family (we’re a a family of two). It is the perfect size to hold both trash and recycling for us. Prior to this we had to use an ugly bag to just hold our recycling that was constantly overflowing in the kitchen. I am very please with this and would definitely recommend it to friends and family!

I do wish the trash side was a little bigger though since bags come in 13 gallon size so it seems like I’m taking out bags that are half full. I love that there’s a bin for recycling as well though. I wish they made paper bags that fit inside the recycling side for easier use.

I was formerly using a no-frills 13:gallon plastic bin which was fine but the EKO has been a very welcome upgrade. Firstly, I love the sheer volume of waste it can hold. Fewer trips to the chute! Because my building sorts trash, we decided to use the can as a single unit and remove the dual compartments. A 20 gallon bag works well for this. The sleek look and soft-close feature are a bonus. It's the little things!I've previously did not give much thought to the quality of my trash cans but this has prompted me to upgrade them throughout my apartment. Super pleased!

Overall this is an attractive and functional dual trash and recycle bin. It’s a great size, and the pedal function is very smooth and feels strong. This can has two unique features that make is very functional 1. It has a lid lock, it’s perfect for when you are prepping food and throwing away waste. And 1. Has a hole in the can liner for garbage. This allows you use your favorite 13 gal bag and just pull the excess through to tighten it up. No more wasting money on custom sized bags. One feature I wish it had was some integrated handles on either side for moving it around easily. Overall a great product.

This dual sided trash can is perfect for separating trash from recycling. I love the soft, quiet close feature. The lid is operated with a foot lever. Another fantastic feature is the locking mechanism for the lid, perfect for locking it open when you’re removing the inner bins or putting a liner in. It’s a good size, smaller than the two bins I’m currently using but larger than a single. I was worried the inner bin was going to be too small for my current bag liners but a standard 13 gallon bag fits just fine it it, no need for special sized bags, although it did come with two sample bags to try which were slightly larger than the bags I currently use. The removable bins will be easy to clean out as well. Definitely recommend this space saving and quiet trash can. I received this item free from Eko and Influenster in exchange for an honest review.

Whether you use it to sort recyclables or use one for recycling and one for trash, it's a really nice upgrade from the usual style. Like it says, the lid closes quietly so you don't have to deal with any metal clanging. I'm always a fan of the step touch opening, too. It feels much more sanitary. Overall, I highly recommend!
