A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about Electric Dual Function Heating Lunchbox with Leak Proof Seal Ring, 32" Cords for Car Recharging and Reusable Spoon and Fork, Black Once the food is hot, you can unplug the lunchbox, and it will function like a well-insulated container. The built-in insulation will keep the food warm for generally 1 to 2 hours after being unplugged. The best practice is to plug it in about 30 minutes before you plan to eat and then unplug it when the food is hot. Leaving it plugged in all day is unnecessary and could risk slightly drying out the food. If you need the food to stay hot for longer than 2 hours, ideally you would want to plug it in again closer to the time you plan to eat.
