This well-known grammar, first published in 1977 and revised in 1983, does not pretend to be an exhaustive study of the Coptic language, but aims to provide an introduction to the basic structure of Coptic Grammar as succinctly as possible; the dialect chosen for this task being Sahidic, the principle literary tongue.
