A: Hello, Regarding your cabinet with a 1" lip, we recommend that you measure the space where you want to install the can opener and ensure that it can accommodate the dimensions of the product. As for the installation instructions, they are included in the box.

Q: The specifications do not state if the handle and cutting tool can be removed for cleaning.

Unfortunately due to its design and even with the spacers provided, we didn’t have enough clearance under our cabinets for it to work so I had to return it. Otherwise, I think it would have been great.
