Best Glue for Big Projects

5 out of 5 stars
Laura - 2 years ago, Verified purchaser
This is the best glue for extensive projects, especially those with small pieces. You can rub off excess glue once it dries a bit.

I used to use rubber cement as a child in school, but I haven’t had to buy it for my own children until recently. The binding of a reader book completely came undone after the first use and my son was pretty disappointed. I ordered this glue because I remember it being flexible and easy to use. I applied it to the edge of the pages that fell out as well as the binding cover page and let it sit together for about a day. When I came back, everything was held together and even with some pulling back of the pages, it held together really well! It doesn’t crack like a lot of glues and it’s very easy to remove by simply rubbing away at the adhesive. This is still a really great quality glue as it seems they haven’t changed the ingredients since I was a kid, which is pretty unheard of! I’m very happy with the results!

Easy to use. The only thing I don't like is that when you get close to the bottom, it's very difficult to get the glue out of the jar.

Love this for crafts! I used it to apply foam to balloons, works great!!!! A little goes a long way. You don’t need to put a lot, just a thin layer.

Performs as expected. The nice thing about rubber cement is that it isn't a permanent adhesive when used on nonporous surfaces. I used this product to add little Christmas hats to some ceramic farm animal I have on display. After Christmas, I just rubbed it off the ceramic.

I use rubber cement for crafts and prefer the smaller bottles (4 oz.) over the large size. When Target didn't have it on their shelves for a few weeks, I ordered it online and was able to pick it up within a few days at Target Customer Service.

Just like I remember from elementary school! This glue holds when others do not because it has elasticity. Great on items that may have some slight force applied to them, like velcro or creases/joints. It dries clear and a little bit goes a long way.
