Unethical product reviews
I find it extremely unethical that Essie "customer care" is writing its own reviews AFTER giving away free products. Any time someone doesn't like this or says it chips, "customer care" writes something like this: "1 reply from Consumer Care Center team - 2 months ago Hey there [reviewer name], thank you for sharing your pics and experience with this metallic chrome top coat. Worn alone, this top coat gives the nail that lustrous, dusted chrome effect just like you have in your picture. This special effect top coat can also be paired with your favorite nail color for a unique finish." So not only is this incentivized, but the brand felt it was totally cool to write the review themselves if the reviewer of the free product didn't say what they wanted. I was a fan of essie before, but this makes me want to avoid the brand permanently.

Nice chrome nails
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this glazed chrome color. Its a nice second step to my nail polish routine. It can be added on top of almost any nail color but better with other Essie colors. Its adds a shimmery coat. It lasts a long time but eventually starts chipping. It makes my nails look classier.

Pretty color, didn't last long
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This nail polish gives a beautiful glazed chrome color although in certain lights it looks more silver. I found just one coat of it was enough to get the chrome effect but it does look a little streaky. It also dries fairly quickly. When it comes to the longevity of it, it starts peeling off the edges of my nails within hours but not as bad as other nails polish but I'm also a mom and I'm constantly cooking and cleaning without gloves so I think it might last a little longer for someone that doesn't work with their hands as much.

Subtle, but pretty

It’s very subtle and a little on the muted side, so if you’re not a fan of that then you probably won’t like this. I wish it had a little more pigment, but it’s still pretty good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shades are incredible, the polish is in the color ‘Gossamer Garments’ which is a beautiful pink and the top coat is in ‘Glazed Chrome’ that gives it this nice frost. It’s a long lasting polish and gives that same gel effect that a trip to the salon would give. I want these in every color now! And did I mention that it is vegan, 8 free and never animal tested!

Have mixed feelings on this
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m not really a fan of how this shade completely changes the shade of whatever shade you used in step 1. I do like how it actually does make the polish look more gel-like but I wish it would have added an extra but of sheer to the shade not make it a while new shade. Now to the important part for me for any nail polish: does it chip right away?Yes, kind of. The first day I avoided putting my hand in water as much as I usually do, and they held up, but when I washed my hair and did the dishes, they were quick to chip, so I would say avoid much water and wear gloves, and they will last longer.

Fast drying, long lasting

Apply one layer if you want a subtle shine. Apply two layers is you want a more saturated and glittery finish. Didn’t chip at all and only starting lifting from the nail bed around day 10! Super satisfied with this product!

That’s not the results you should get with any of our nail enamels, including this metallic chrome pearlescent top coat! The Gel Couture colors should be applied to clean, bare nails, with no base coat. Just 2 coats of color and the Gel Couture Top coat, each layer should take no more than 5 minutes to dry.

Good shine
