Olive & June Gel Nail Polish - Peel Off Base Coat - 0.46 fl oz

I don’t do gel but wanted to try this with glitters. It works well but there is still some to remove round the edges. Still a good thing to have for tough to remove polishes.

Wow this stuff sucks! Painted my nails and within 20 minutes it peeled off. I know it’s a peel off base but wow! I thought it would last much longer than that. I do NOT recommend unless you want to waste your time doing your nails.

Peels off way too quickly. Says it can be used under regular or gel polish, but really I’d only recommend it for gel, for regular polish it doesn’t peel off it cracks in small pieces. Even for gel, it doesn’t last long enough for it to be worth it. Only lasted me about two days before the gel peeled off. If you’re looking for a good peel of base coat for regular polish, I recommend Holo Taco base coat (it’s at Ulta). For gel I’d recommend the Jello peel off base coat and remover for gel.

I found that I can only put the peel off base coat on the very middle of the nail (not even out to the edge/tip) or the polish will begin to lift from the top of my nail. I love that I can peel off the polish without taking the time to soak them off and still get the gel nails! Do to the lifting at the tip of my nails I have had the longest wear time of 6 days. I just did my daughter's nails and mine with the peel off coat on the middle so I will update my review as I get better. So far I am glad I went with the peel off option!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first time I tried this peel-off base coat under the regular base coat, the gel polish peeled right off the same night. Couldn’t tell if I made my gel polish too thick or if I painted the peel-off base coat too close to the edge of my nails. Tried again with a different gel polish and only used one stroke in the middle of my nails, and my gel polish lasted over a day. I mean, it works and it doesn’t dry out my nails when the gel polish peels off like it does when I use regular base coat alone. Just wish it didn’t work too well!

Took me a minute to get the hang of this…make sure you watch the videos to use it correctly.

It definitely is easy peel off, it peeled off without even any help in a day so that wasn’t what I was hoping for.

Part of the reason I stopped getting my nails done with gel manicures at a salon was the removal part after they grew out. They absolutely wrecked your nail!! But now… the game has changed with THIS! Highly recommend. Also just note— each time I’ve done my nails, (it’s been like 5 manis now,) I learn a bit on how to do them better… make sure you don’t get too close to the outside of your nail with this, or they will come off within a day. But, follow the instructions and keep to the center for the most gorg and easiest peel off ever. No nail damage. 10/10.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Colors were beautiful. But this was the stickiest polish I have ever used. Could not get a single smooth layer on due to stickiness. Also would not cure properly. Followed all instructions and steps appropriately.

I was reluctant to use gel, because of the removal process. I just did my first gel mani and it came off so easily with the peel off base coat.

This product actually works wonders, but there's a little secret sauce to it: follow the instructions to the letter! When applying, make sure to leave a tiny border around the edge of your nail (just focus on the center of your nail). And here's the golden rule: let it dry completely—patience is your best friend here! If it's not dry, it will mess up the base polish you put on top :( (speaking from experience) Once you're all set, just paint your nails as usual, and voila! I've had my polish on for two weeks, and they popped off perfectly when I was ready for a change. It's a total game changer for anyone who loves switching up their nail color without the harsh removal process. Now, I can change my nail color whenever my mood changes! Give it a try—your nails will thank you!

Oh my goodness!! As someone who has long loved gel polish but HATED the arduous removal process, this peel off base coat is a game changer!! I still get a long lasting, beautiful gel mani but have the option to switch it up more frequently because of this base coat. And the best part is, it does wonders removing glitter polish, too!
