About the Author

Tekeisha Zimmerman is a learning strategist, clinical professor, and the founder of Masterpiece in Progress, a coaching and professional development firm. Zimmerman partners with HR and TD leaders and learning teams to build leadership and learning capabilities that last. With more than 20 years of experience inside global organizations, she weaves together storytelling, human-centered design, and real-world insights to create learning experiences that stick. She has led teams, built and facilitated global programs, and collaborated with senior leaders at Amazon, Citigroup, Expedia, United Healthcare, and other organizations. A published scholar and thought leader, she now creates and leads custom programs built on her VERSE framework. Zimmerman lives in Tampa Bay, Florida, with her husband, Javier; her daughter, Zoe; her son, Eric; and her grandbabies, Prince, Tru, and Romi.
