Q: I have same question other customer asked. What is the non-stick coating? Is it teflon? Very important as we have birds and are concerned regarding the chemical given off in the air by teflon coatings can kill birds.
A: Thanks for your post, Sherri. Our nonstick cookware is PFOA-free, and the nonstick coatings do contain PTFE - actually, all nonstick coatings from any maker contain PTFE. "PTFE" is basically the chemical name of the nonstick coating - it's the actual ingredient that makes the cookware "nonstick." Rest assured, Sherri, that our nonstick cookware is safe for everyday consumer use. Should you have any more questions, our team of Consumer Relations experts are available toll-free at 800/809-7166, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm PST (Pacific Standard Time), excluding holidays.
