Q: Is there an inside tether to make sure my cat wouldn't escape? Also can the screen be removed or rolled up for it be more open while strolling!

A: Hi Anne.There's no rope in the stroller. There is a zipper, and if the zipper is fully closed, the pet has no other hole to jump out.The mesh screen can be lifted up.Thanks for shopping Target.

busted
Item says hold 33lbs but we felt it insufficient for our 15lb kitty. Too, kitty was able to break a hole--without claws or fangs!--where the mesh and canvas meet. We will have to return the stroller. 2 stars because it was as advertised and was easy to put together.
