I am just a few chapters in and am already learning so much from Jennifer Allwood. I would definitely recommend reading if you need a little extra motivation and direction on your dreams!

I now understand why everyone has raved about this book. I actually enjoy reading it as though I’m having a conversation with Jennifer. I don’t think there’s been a book in this genre that I have read through so quickly because I’ve enjoyed it so much. This is a life altering book, read it if you’re serious to make the changes in your life.  i’m already looking forward to her next book, it is incredibly easy to understand. If you tend to get distracted easily, this book with her jokes and just her personality will keep you engaged fully

This is such an inspiring book. We've all been stuck! Everyone. Jennifer shares her own story to help others navigate their own fear. Even though this is not a business book, her business coaching has enabled me to grow my business to 6-figures so much faster than I ever could. She is real and says it like it is. If you want to get unstuck, get the book!

How can I possibly put into words all the takeaways from “Fear Is Not the Boss of You,” but to fill a journal out of an overflowing heart! Jennifer Allwood is a champion of relating to the masses while making you feel like you are one-on-one with her sharing a coffee! She shares straight from her gut the fails and triumphs all women face in life regardless of background. Jennifer is honest, captivating, vulnerable, practical, and is living courage out loud blazing an easy to follow trail. Women everywhere will feel understood, gain clarity, get their boots strapped & take their God-given ground! My absolute favorite part of “Fear Is Not the Boss of You” and the overarching message Jennifer shares threaded across her platforms is her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. She makes no beans about it and points to Christ giving us example after example how to lean on Him for success at home, privately, and publicly. She is presenting how to bravely attain the full package meal deal giving you strategy to overcome over and over. Fear Is Not the Boss of You could NOT be a better title! Read and prepare to be liberated!

"I bought this book, read it, allowed it to change me, then bought the audio version to listen to again and again while I'm, you know, doing all the things that I wasn't doing while being stuck and overwhelmed by fear before reading this book, then bought 5 more copies to give away, and here I am now...taking the time to write my first ever book review, because I believe with all of my heart that the inspiring and unbelievably relatable, Jennifer Allwood, and her deeply impactful and life-changing book, "Fear Is Not the Boss of You" are indeed a gift from above that must be shared with women everywhere.

This book had me at the first chapter. Jennifer is speaking to all us women who feel stuck with fear. She uses a mixture of her stories and scripture in the book. I stumbled across a Jennifer Allwood Facebook post 3 years ago. Initially I followed Jennifer for her home decor style/tips which are always fun, on trend, colorful, and she is not afraid to take risks ie: gold hardware and lighting before it was even a thing. Quickly I began to discover that this cool lady with awesome hair was also a deep Christian. In my mind, she couldn’t be more perfect...a decor diva who loves Jesus! I began tuning in regularly to her Facebook lives and was consistently blown away by her candor, quick wit, humor, style, compassion/empathy, depth, and such an uncanny ability to relate to us all. When Jennifer began talking about her new book, I immediately loved the title and knew it would not disappoint. I jumped at the chance to be a part of the launch team, pre-ordered my copy, and prepared to dig in. Although I am educated, I have been anything but an avid reader, particularly in adulthood. The busyness of life has generally kept me distracted enough that most books just do not grab my attention long enough to drown out all of the to do lists running through my brain. “Fear is not the boss of you” is literally the first book that I have read in entirety in many years. Jennifer’s book captures that same magic that has me following her via social media: podcasts, blogs, and Facebook posts. She literally is the most perfect blend of charisma, common sense, and faith. This book covers a laundry list of issues plaguing women today from fear to unforgiveness and everything in between. Honestly, the only thing I did not like about this book...is that it ended. Just like a favorite movie, Jennifer left me hoping for a sequel....perhaps “Fear is not the boss of you Part 2.” Thank you Jennifer for saying “yes” to God, for doing the hard things, and for blessing us with this message. It is a gift that I will share with all of the special women in my life.

This book will have you saying, “Yasssss!!” throughout each chapter. I absolutely loved Jennifer’s candid recollection of past experiences that has lead her to the place she is today. Leading hundreds of thousands of women to know and trust the Lord by using the gifts he equipped each and every one of us with to serve the greater good by continuing to drive home Fear Is NOT The Boss of You! Thank you Jen for taking us along with you while modeling what you are preaching. This book is for everyone!!! You won’t be disappointed.

This book is like a kick in the pants from your best friend. You’ll find yourself saying ‘yess girl’ over and over. It’s relatable life experiences with practical and biblical guidance.

This book is for any woman who has ever felt STUCK! And who hasn't felt that? Whether it's stuck in life, parenting, your marriage, your business, your own thoughts, your faith, whatever, this book will speak to you. Jennifer gets right to the heart of how we feel as women and the lies that we allow to hold us back. She writes like a friend who isn't afraid to give us a little kick in the behind when we need it. Filled with Godly wisdom, I loved how this book spoke to me like I was having a conversation with a friend. Jennifer gives us practical ways to move forward when we feel scared, stuck and overwhelmed. She helps us dive into why we feel that way and what we can do to move to where we need to be. This book should be on every women's bookshelf and will be a gold mine of wisdom for years to come!

I couldn't put this book down. Jennifer Allwood speaks the truth that reignites your passions, and shows you exactly why that's so important. I can't imagine a woman who wouldn't benefit from it. I'm giving a copy to my daughters!

Fear is Not the Boss of You has been a crucial message that I needed to hear! It came just as I was starting a new business at 56 years old and was just the loving, truth-filled, kick in the butt I needed! Jennifer has a way of making you feel like you are sharing a table at lunch for girlfriend time with the friend that you trust to speak the real truth to you - even when she knows it may sting a little. Her love for you - us - is real and deep and sincere. I have bought several copies of the book and will be buying more. As I write this review, we are in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and I am in awe at the timeliness of the words in this book! Whether you are a Christian or not, you will be inspired to get free from fear, get unstuck, and get after it!

It’s like having a face-to-face conversation with her. You won’t be disappointed! Much like Jennifer, her book is full of inspiration, life truths, humor, candid conversation and raw emotion. Within these chapters, she asks many thought provoking questions about the messiness of life. The deeper into the pages I read, the answers became more clear. After going through a very difficult year, this book could not have come at a better time. Her message of hope has given me a new courage to live the life God has called me to. Definitely a 5 ⭐️ read. Thanks Jennifer Allwood, for all the words. You are making a difference.

Jennifer has a gift of leading you TO.....and THROUGH your fears.....that you likely don't even realize are there. So often it is our very own fear that holds us back from fulfilling our God given purpose.....and she really drives this home in a tough love (with a bow on it) kind of way! I found this book to be not only inspirational....but soul cleansing....leaving me feeling lighter with the turn of each page! I plan to read it again and take notes as I go!

Jennifer Allwood brought her "A" game when she wrote Fear Is Not The Boss Of You. She is clear, motivating, and insightful. Although she focuses on creatives and business owners online, this book is for everyone. What is even more remarkable, is unlike many other motivational / self-help books full of shallow one liners, Jennifer is able to hit you deep. Jennifer's word stay with you like a good Sunday sermon you can get out of your head. Read this incredible book and you will find yourself saying "Fear you are NOT the boss of me". I know I have.
