Akshay Nanavati has mastered the art of embracing fear by overcoming a life of drugs that killed two of his friends, fighting the war in Iraq with the US Marines, climbing mountains all over the world, cave diving, skydiving, quitting a job to spend one month dragging a 190 pound sled 350 miles across the second largest icecap in the world and building a business from the ground up. After coming home from the war, Akshay pursued a masters degree in journalism from the prestigious S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications to tell a different story on the human experience than the one being traditionally told. As a result, his story has been featured in CNN, Forbes, Huffington Post, Entrepreneur.com, Psychology Today and he has been interviewed on Fox 5 New York.
