Q: Does this have a very strong pine odor?
A: Returnable is this product
submitted byDK - 3 months agoA: No. Its the best litter I've ever used
submitted byMicia - 7 years agoA: No this doesn’t have a strong odor at all. The only litter our cat would use. Very good litter.
submitted byKim - 7 years agoA: no --no odor what so ever i have been using this and only this for 11 years it is great
submitted bypatte - 7 years agoA: No--it's more of a wood-shaving smell, and it's pretty mild. It's strongest right when you pour it out of the bag, but it dissipates pretty quickly.
submitted bylifeboatb - 7 years agoA: Very pleasant pine scent. Like walking in a pine forest.

Q: Does this litter track out of the catbox and around house, like the clay litter does?
A: At first when the pellets are whole, it will not track. However, if you leave it for a long time whithout replacing ( a week or so), you will begin to see saw dust outside the box.
submitted byJustMe - 7 years agoA: Not at all. I love this product and will never use another cat litter. Sometimes a few pellets are kicked out of the box when the cat is scratching, but it is right there by the box and can be picked up and put back in. Best litter ever!
submitted byfrmrhstprof - 7 years agoA: This is the best litter I’ve ever used. As for tracking outside the litter box, I only have to pick up a few pellets each week. Very minimal tracking ( naturally it depends on how full your box is). Cats love it and so do I

Q: Question 2: are these pellets any different than the pine pellets burned in woodstoves, which are 40 lbs for 6-7.00? Thanks!
A: no they actually look like rabbit pellet food but beige i have been using this product for 11 years they also tell you to use this if your cat gets surgery or if someone in your home has allergies the pellets are just made of pine and they become a powder also can flush down toilet --put in garden --no smell --no powdery smoke like the clay cat liters have when you pour it in hope this helps patte
submitted bypatte - 7 years agoA: “Feline Pine has been put through a special process that removes the volatile pine oil that has been found to harm cats. Some stove pellets still have that oil and they have been found to be harmful!”

Q: How do you get the urine out? Scoop it?
A: Thank you for your question, Monterey Gal. Feline Pine Original is made from 100% Pine. Sawdust byproduct from lumber mills is collected and compressed into tiny pellets. These pellets act like tiny sponges that absorb urine and break apart into sawdust. You scoop the solid waste daily, and gently shake the box so that the good pellets will float to the top and the sawdust drops to the bottom. You leave the sawdust in the box as it is still working to absorb moisture and odor. When the box is about 90% sawdust it is time to dispose of and start the 1" process all over again. Q: Can this litter be flushed in the toilet?
A: Thank you for your question, Amanda. We do not recommend flushing the litter waste or putting it into drains due to the danger of cat feces entering the sewer system. Dangerous bacteria can be found in cat feces which could eventually make its way into ocean waters and threaten marine life, or in the case of local waterways which could impact drinking water, irrigating crops, etc. We recommend only disposing of used litter in the garbage. Additionally, the product should not be flushed or put in drains. Our team is available to help via phone call/text at 800-833-9532 Monday - Friday, from 9 - 5 Eastern. Please reach out to us directly and we'll be glad to help with any additional questions, comments, or concerns. Please mention your reference number: 007719545A, when contacting us.

Q: I have a litter that's similar, I tried scooping the poop out and must of stirred up the urine smell. Do you leave this alone and just completely change out weekly? I've only used clumped litter. HELP
