Desk Space Saver
4 out of 5 stars

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Monitor Arms are great space savers. I have small desk in my bedroom and my works space is minimum. I grade paper, write lesson plans, laminate and so much more. I have my laptop and monitor on my desk so after receiving the monitor arm and finally getting it connected it cleared up some space and it saved my neck. I felt more productive because I had space. I feel like I can get the second monitor that I've been wanting, and I may have to try the dual monitor arms. "I received this product free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review."

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. When I assembled this product I did get confused about which screws attached the arm together but I figured it out later. I feel like once you get the ball rolling from there it’s easy to attach the monitor, but it has a sleek professional style however I am using it for leisure since I’musing my laptop as a television.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor arm is solidly built. I have never used one before and It is nice to have the monitor at a higher level so I can keep my head level. I can tilt the monitor in different angles so it is comfortable for me and it stays put. The clamp is much smaller than my monitor base, so I have more room on the desk. It does have a few parts to put together, but it comes with tools as well as a variety of screws to fit any monitor. I received this product free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product came carefully packaged and parts labeled well. I liked that it can be attached to the desk by either clamp or grommet. The gas spring makes for very smooth adjustment of the monitor. The arm is easily adjusted in a great variety of positions for eye and neck comfort. Love that it frees up more desk space in my home office plus provides 2 easily accessed USB ports. More productive now in my research work with use of laptop and monitor screens. Larger pictures in directions would speed up installation. I found the pictures showing proper monitor tilt adjustment confusing. I received this product free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received the Fellowes Platinum Series Single Monitor Arm and am using it to hold my wife's 24 inch monitor. Directions for assembly are traditional 'flat pack' style instructions with minimal wording, but fairly easy to understand. The arm took about 20-25 minutes to put together and install on her desk with the included desk clamp. The arm can also be attached directly to a desk with an included bracket and long screw. All tools are provided, except for an Allen screwdriver. The arm is capable of holding up to a 32 inch, 17.6 pound monitor, with traditional VESA mounting holes. I found the arm to be quite sturdy and well built. After assembly and mounting the monitor, no tension adjustment was needed, although multiple adjustments can be made for balance and tension. Plastic cord holders are provided on the rear of the arm to hold both power and HDMI cables, and the arm's base also includes two integrated USB ports, with attached cabling for the computer. The monitor can be easily moved in any direction once mounted on the arm. Overall, this is a well put together accessory that will also free up space on your desk or computer table. I received this product free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The main reason for getting a monitor arm was to open up my desktop by eliminating the stand for my 24” monitor. Since I have several products from Fellowes that I like, when I was offered the chance to test out their 8043301 Platinum Series Single Monitor Arm I jumped at the opportunity to try it out. The arm comes in a box with all of the parts – and then some! – carefully packaged in labeled pouches. As I took the arm and components out of the box I was impressed by the excellent quality of the machining; the arm is sturdy and heavy duty. All of the parts are very well made. I was especially glad to see that there was an extra part included in almost every pouch, so you won’t be stymied if you happen to lose a piece. Another thing that impressed me is that they had parts for any configuration you might need. There are two options for mounting – a clamp if you have a lip on the rear side of your desk or a long, heavy bolt and bracket if you have a grommet hole instead. In addition, the clap can be configured in two ways to adjust to the thickness of your desktop. Since the produce is sold internationally the instructions are with pictures and no description. The parts are clearly labeled in the instructions and on the pouches. At first I was unsure why there were so many pouches labeled with an “M-“ prefix, but figured it out. Once again Fellowes is allowing for your particular configuration and each of those pouches is for a different length and thread-count in order to accommodate whatever brand of monitor you might have. It took me just under an hour to assemble the arm and clamp it onto my desk. Then it took me a while to figure out the best way to position the arm to fit my setting. The arm comes out of the box with the base turned sideways. At first, I turned the arm so it faces the front of the base but that configuration required the desk to be too far from the wall. I ended up turning the arm back to the way it had come out of the box, parallel with the wall, in order to put the desk back where it had been. Between the multiple ways in which the arm can be positioned and the wide range of movement for the monitor, there is an almost infinite number of possibilities. That’s what I kept discovering – the engineers who designed it have made it so it can be adapted to almost any setting. When you are finished, they even have provided two holes on the rear of the clamp in which to store the two allen wrenches in case you need to make any adjustments in the future (most likely for the monitor weight or tilt, but also for the monitor screws if you change models later). Another nice feature is that there are two USB-A ports on the front of the base with long cords provided to reach the ports on your computer. The bottom line is I am very happy with the quality and flexibility of the arm. It does exactly what I hoped it would do – and now I have more free space on my desktop. Disclaimer: I received this product free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very pleased with this monitor arm. I am a tall person and the base that came with my monitor forced me to tilt my head downward while keyboarding. This Fellowes monitor arm allows me to be able to look straight ahead at the monitor thus relieving a lot of stress on my neck. I can't think of a better addition to my variable height desk! Although I received this product free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review I recommend it for anyone who is considering making a purchase of this type of device.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was unable to use this arm because I missed the weight limit of my new monitor. I was listed in kilos instead of pounds, so it actually weighed more than twice what I thought it would. For that reason, the arm bottomed out under load, but a single arm mount for a 49" Ultrawide monitor should have triggered some bells on my end. In any event, I did want to tell folks about the incredible array of hardware that comes with this monitor arm. I cannot think of a VESA monitor application that would not work with this monitor. The hardware included is a dizzying array of pieces. This was a very nicely thought out collection of pieces. I would take a picture of it all out, but the packing is so efficient that once I got all the pieces back into the original box, I decided to quit while I was ahead.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. The monitor came with different options for mounting so if you have a grommet or just a flat surface, you are covered. Having some extra screws and hardware was also a plus. The adjustability is great, the arm can be adjusted to swing in every possible direction, super impressive + a space saver if you have multiple people sitting at a desk/table. The only thing that I had trouble with was the bottom wire organizer on the arm. I tried to slide it off but it wouldn't move so I tried another direction and actually broke it, the 2 small pieces on one side cracked off. Hopefully I can get this replaced as I really like the arm. I'm probably going to get a new monitor next week as well.

Terrific Monitor Arm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently acquired the Fellowes Platinum Series Single Monitor Arm. I use a 32" LG LED TV as a computer monitor which the monitor arm was able to handle with no problem. Installation of the monitor arm was simple despite the fact the instructions were a bit lacking in their description as to what to do. What the instructions lacked in text was made up with well labeled parts diagrams and diagrams of the assembly process. An added plus was having all the parts in individually labeled bags that matched the instruction diagram. The only issue I had was my TV did not have a standard VESA 75mm or 100mm mounting hole layout but rather a 200mm mounting pattern since it is a TV. This was easily fixed with a 3rd party VESA mount adapter for flat panel TV’s. The VESA mounting bracket that came with the monitor arm easily attached to the adapter plate which in turn attached to the TV. The arm itself is well made and adjustments to it are very straight forward and easy to do. There are cable keepers on both arms which made hiding the HDMI, CAT5 and power cables for the TV a breeze. There are also 2 USB parts on the base of the arm which I used to connect a portable CD player/recorder and a powered 7 USB port expansion port to my computer. My TV/monitor is easy to move once all the tensions were properly adjusted. I have used other monitor arms in the past, but they didn’t have the flexibility of movement that the Fellowes Platinum Series monitor arm does. After adjusting the tensions, I found the arm is very stable but still easy to adjust. From an ergonomic standpoint, I was able to raise my TV/monitor to a better height than what the original TV stand allowed for. Overall, I am very pleased with the Platinum Series Monitor arm and would recommend it to anyone in the market for a monitor arm. I would suggest paying attention to the suggested weight and dimension recommendations to ensure the monitor is securely and safely held by the monitor arm. I received this product free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
