Just get the real perfume
The scent itself is really nice, I 100% would recommend the actual perfume. It doesn’t smell cheap, it’s a really nice almost maraschino cherry smell. The body spray version lasts literally 30 seconds on skin, hair and clothes. I spray it and it’s gone. No one else can smell it either so it’s not an issue with my nose, and it happens no matter how much I spray. I have a travel size of the perfume and loved it, this was really disappointing since I hoped it would be an okay compromise. The spray top also dribbles a little and makes it difficult to keep spraying once you’ve sprayed once.

I bought the "Not Another Cherry" body mist about a year ago and I keep it in my backpack for a quick refresh during the day, and I don't think it lasts super long (hence why it's a body mist) but it smells very good!
