This is genuinely one of the hardest things in life I’m done. It might’ve been the two edibles I’ve taken, but I like to think that it’s because good work takes time. This was hard to put together. It almost made me cry. But cry in the same way someone that peaks Everest does. You’re exhausted but you did it. But in this case you have something to provide your kids. Your BABIES. This would be a great gift for your girlfriend that rescues squirrels on the side of the road. Not so much for your arthritic, cat crazy grandma.

Honestly this is super cute and relatively easy to put together. However and this is a big however, the second story is not strong enough! Our one cat is 14 pounds and the second story gave way when he was sitting on it. If you have smaller cats this is a winner but if you have a chunkalicious cat this scratcher will not last long. I had to rate it lower because of that. All three of our cats loved it but it barely made it through a month of use.

My cats love this scratcher and they use it all the time. It has two levels so both of the cats are able to use it at the same time. The only downside is the instructions because it wasn't clear. Instead I used the pictures to figure it out. But other than that, this product is great and my cats enjoy it a lot.

Impossible to build and instructions make no sense

The instruction sheet included in the box is not even for this cat scratcher! How did anyone successfully put this together?? I have a semi-built structure with extra pieces that serve no purpose. Do not buy this.

The way this thing is designed is so, so terrible. It's flimsy, difficult to put together, and while the aesthetic is cute it is not even remotely worth the time or effort. The top decoration did not ever stay upright for me, the sign at the top is made in such a way that I don't think it would ever actually work as intended. Material quality is also bad, with the cardboard delaminating every time you have to push a tab through a slot, which is the entire construction method. Without the decoration on the top it is a relatively sturdy box, if it can be put together without breaking, and the scratching pads are a good size. Bad design that the bottom scratcher cannot be accessed to flip it over, but I kind of figure the whole thing will have collapsed before that would be necessary anyway.

Instructions were clearly written by someone who didn’t know how to put it together. Flimsy materials, just a terrible product.

It’s so cute for my adorable cat. He has two tiers to choose from. It took a bit for me to put together so I passed it on to my daughter who ended up looking at the picture on the box and guessing where things go (that’s the reason for 4 stars). But it’s well worth it.

My cat is roughly 18-20 lbs so it's hard finding cool things that can hold his weight but this is great! I don't understand why people are giving such horrible reviews... This is great for my Siberian cat!

I wish I had read the reviews before buying but saw it in the store. The instructions in the box don’t match up with the product!! It’s like they’re for a completely different cat house!! I had to MacGyver the pieces together because the three pages of instructions are MEANINGLESS!!! Once assembled it’s cute but super flimsy. I basically spent 90 min struggling just to have this thing break in 10. Save your time, money and energy and listen to the other one star reviews and DO NOT BUY! Hey Target, please correct this mistake!!

Instructions are terrible. Do not waste your time.

This was a purchase that I immediately regretted. It's confusing to put together and doesn't survive the process. Literally useless. It went to recycling same day I brought it home.

This broke less than 24 hours after building. Having had many cardboard cat items, this was by far the worst build and terribly thought out. Save your money and time.

Broke putting together

This thing took me and my Husband over an hour to assemble. The instructions suck we just brainstormed the pieces together. It doesn’t help that it’s cardboard so it can tear easily but we taped the flaps down so it can be more secured.

I would give this 0 stars if I was able to. Instructions were terrible and the material is cheap. Even at a $16 price point, I do not think I got my money’s worth.

Directions are not clear at all and this one is different than any I have put together. Directions just didn’t make sense

the worst product I've ever bought for my animals. the instructions make absolutely no sense and its basically paper. how is a cat suppose to even sit on it without it breaking. I'd give it less stars if I could.
