submitted byJerith - 6 years agoTarget staff supportA: When ours was a kitten, it fit inside . But as she grew, she still enjoys it. She just puts her head & paws inside and falls asleep. Like 1/2 of her body. She loves it. Her favorite toy/ bed. She uses it for scratching the outside while sitting on top. When she goes crazy and runs, it flips over. No big deal. . Ours is like 3 years old ( the cubby/ scratcher. ) She uses it every day & night. She loves it!! She doesn’t scratch the inside at all. The rectangle flat scratcher , she hardly ever uses it.

Most cardboard that’s contaminated with anything (food residue, etc) is not suitable for recycling. So if it’s brand new, yeah probably. But after it’s been scratched to smithereens, probably not.
