My cats love to stand on top and really dig in. While chasing after each other, they also like to use it as a perch. One of my cats enjoys hiding inside, but neither so far have really used the cardboard inside to scratch. Perhaps some catnip rubbed in will help. The only downside is the mess from the cardboard -- but it is less than many other cardboard scratchers, and the mess is very easy to pick up.

At first glance this seemed perfect - good size and a simple style that doesn’t scream “cat toy”. Unfortunately the base is very light, so it tips and rolls towards my 5 lb kittens anytime they try to scratch at the sides, scaring them off. They still use it as a tunnel sometimes, but it definitely doesn’t get used like I thought it would.

My cat loves these. We went through 2 in10 months but that’s ok. Just bought the third one. She’s sleeps in it and scratches only inside on the bottom. Thats why she wears them out.It keeps her from scratching on furniture so well worth the money to me.

Our 5 month old kitten Crouton took to it right away. Him and his older brother Crumpet started playing with it, jumping on it and jumping through it. Crumpet is almost 12 lbs and maybe a bit too big for it but Crouton has found a new napping spot.

I just replaced one I bought three years ago and disappointed to see that, compared to the original model, the updated model is slightly smaller and lacks the sturdy fabric on the lower portion. It’s unfortunate that quality is increasingly sacrificed. I’ll still give it five stars bc for $19.99 it’s a decent value. I have one cat that has never given it a second glance in three years, and another that absolutely loves it. The cardboard quality seems to be on par with the original model so hopefully this one will last as long.
