Q: Does this product [ 48"x53" Rectangular Ulti Mat Clear For Hard Floors - Cleartex] need any matting under it to keep it from sliding around on a hardwood floor?

A: Hello, Thank you for your question on the Ultimat Polycarbonate Chair Mat. This chair mat has a smooth backing which is designed for use on hard floors, therefore this mat will not require matting underneath to keep it in place. However, this will depend on the type of flooring that you have, for example we wouldn’t recommend this mat on highly polished hardwood flooring as it can be more prone to slide around. However, if you are concerned about the sliding, we would recommend looking at our anti-slip chair mats that have an anti-slip coating that will help prevent movement. Needed something that was inexpensive for a 3000 piece jigsaw puzzle. I came up with this idea and it works great! Perfect size and fits on top of my other smaller puzzle board on the coffee table. Sturdy enough the edges do not bend downward. The photo won't upload which is too bad, it shows how great a puzzle board this mat makes! And way cheaper than other puzzle boards to accommodate a 3000 piece puzzle!
