Thank you for your enquiry. Our Cleartex Evolutionmat provides a perfectly flat ergonomic surface for easy rolling and great floor protection. This mat is designed for use on hard floors only, we would not recommend using this mat on carpet as the mat may begin to bow or crack. We do offer a Cleartex Evolutionmat for carpet, this product is gripper backed for maximum stability and when in use under the weight of the chair and the user there should be minimal movement of the mat. Arrives in flat condition - not rolled! What a happy surprise and what a great chair mat. I purchased four in all for chairs with wheels that sit on our new hardwood floors. Absolutely exactly what we needed. Low profile, easy to lift for cleaning. A definite improvement over other brands I've had. Shipped on time, arrived on time. Highly recommend for hard floors.
