My interest was quickly captured by the fast-paced action and intriguing plot. I could clearly picture the scenes set in the historic period, and I thought the relationship between Annalise and Carl developed naturally into a tantalising romance. The portrayal of their relationship with God is realistic, appealing, and informative. A good read. Well done.

Our lives are full, often complicated, and it seems we spend so much time attempting to fit God into our story that we don't allow ourselves to be lifted up into His story. In her suspenseful historical novel, Sandra Schoger Foster holds that our stories- yours and mine-are part of a bigger story: God's. Annalise Reinhardt's story begins in Romania in 1924, in the real German village of Hermannstadt, Romania, and takes us on a mysterious, compelling, and transforming trip into God's faithfulness, guidance, and love. Once you start to read it, you'll hold your breath to the last page. Brace for it!

A beautiful novel that will leave readers feeling hopeful and fulfilled. It's an effective exploration of the immigrant experience and the search for forgiveness, acceptance, and a sense of belonging. I was drawn in at the beginning and identified with the characters and their walk with the Lord.

In Sandra Schoger Foster's captivating novel, For Whom My Heart Yearns, Annalise Reinhardt is forced to leave her home in Romania in 1924 with barely a moment's notice. Her uncle, Zarko, who is her guardian and who witnessed a terrible incident, must take Annalise to America for her safety. As she leaves their farm and boards the train, little does she know that this journey will lead her to the love of her life but also to complications she never could have imagined. The tension, danger, and romance do not let up in this heartfelt and entertaining novel.
