Rod Blagojevich grew up in a working-class neighborhood in Chicago, Illinois. Shaped by hard work and determination, Rod began his career as an assistant state's attorney in Cook County, Illinois. Politics soon called, and he soon started rising through the ranks, from becoming a member of the Illinois House of Representatives, to the U.S. House of Representatives, to making history as the 40th Governor of Illinois, re-elected in 2006. In December 2008, Rod was arrested on corruption charges, including allegations of attempting to sell the U.S. Senate seat vacated by President Barack Obama. The ensuing scandal led to his impeachment in 2009 and a conviction in 2011, until President Donald Trump commuted his sentence in 2020. Now, Rod continues to captivate and inspire conversations about ambition, resilience, and second chances.Dimensions (Overall): 9.0 Inches (H) x 6.0 Inches (W)
