I have had this for less than a year. Used rarely. Now it won't charge. I see in another review where someone opened and changed out recargeable battery. i will try that. Definitely won't be wasting my money on another Stanley product.

I actually have 2 of these. My newer one has maybe 2 hours of use. I have never let it run down completely and now it won’t charge. Very expensive flashlight fir the tiny bit of use I got out of it.

I got my light 4 years ago, after about a year the battery wouldn't take a charge. I took the light apart and ordered a new battery (old one was a 18650 2500UA I replaced with a 3500UA). The light has been working flawlessly now 3 years and the higher capacity has extended the run time quite a bit.

I bought one when they first came out, good light. The battery lasted a long time. The second one is a joke, charged all day the battery lasted maybe 10 minutes. Waste of money

Got this for Christmas, and used one time! After charging up overnight, Turned the light on and it wouldn't turn off! Nice and bright but what good is it if it malfunctions the first time you use it! I also read other people have the same problem! Stanly knows about this flaw, yet keeps making this junk! Piece of junk!

Received this light as a Christmas present. Box says comes partially charged. No charge and the light will not charge. Have tried every way shown in product manual and the light will NOT charge. The instructions that came with the light do not shopw how or where the battery is located. Worst product I have ever had that carried the Stanley Brand Name.

To all of you out there having issues with charging your unit, please refer to the manual, available online if you need it. You likely just need to push the button where the red power light is. Yes it is a button, and wont charge if it is on. I had the same issue, and after some quick research was able to find the solution. I hope this helps all who refer here looking for answers, as I did.

It seems to get tipsy with the slightest of breezes if it's standing on a table or deck railing.

The first time I tried to use it, after 5 minutes started to fail. The full light mode turns off after less than one minute. Of course it is fully charged, the middle light works indeed but not the side panels. It seems to me it is a kind of sensor issue but I could find any official solution. Since I bought it in US but I live in another country, replace it is not an option. Very sad

It's been reliable. I like reading manuals, and once in a while reviewing them. Take note, it comes with multiple warnings on how NOT to damage the battery. Over charge, toast, low voltage, toast, using within 5min of charge, toast. That being said, too many warnings to be followed for the target audience who doesn't need to bother with all that. Who needs something reliable and consistent regardless of the situation

Was bought a year ago but not used until recently. Won’t charge so opened it up and if you remove the battery it will work while plugged in but as soon as battery is present it doesn’t charge and won’t work. Cool light and very bright but not a good product.
