Description
We've got the weaning process down to a science (literally!) with this 5-step patented system to ditch the pacifier for good. Each paci is progressively shorter - and less satisfying - so baby gives that binky the boot. No kitchen scissors required!
• STEP 1: When baby wants it, baby gets it. Treat the step 1 paci like their usual paci. • STEP 2: Offer the step 2 paci anytime. Baby may start to notice this isn't their typical paci + want it less often. • STEP 3: Give the step 3 paci at sleep time + when asked. This is where the real breakup begins. • STEP 4: Offer the step 4 paci only at sleep. Try your hardest to resist giving it during the daytime. • STEP 5: Give the step 5 paci only if necessary (tantrum time). Baby should be over it in no time. Buh-bye binky.

This really worked well for my 16 month old son. I was really nervous to try this because he was SO attached to his pacifier at bed time. Worked like a charm! 10/10 recommend!

It’s tough because babies really struggle to let go of their binky. Stage 1, he instantly disliked it, but he is now on 2 nights no binky, which is great! Still have to stage him down but within a week he’ll be binky free!

I have never written a review for a product, but I had to for this. IT WORKS, Buy it now! I was so skeptical and never thought it would work. I had a paci obsessed 2 year old and was dreading this task. By the third paci in this series she was throwing it on the ground saying “yucky” and she was done. “Big girls don’t have pacis.” She definitely has been extra fussy, clingy and trouble going to sleep this week without it BUT we are officially paci free and no turning back. Her speech was good before this, but dropping the paci allowed her talking to take off! Yayyy!!!!

These work! My son was using the Nuk pacifiers to sleep and he started waking up crying for it when it fell out so I knew it was time. It took around 10 days total and we just tossed all of the pacifiers away. He didn’t even really want the last one because it’s just a nub. I’m not sure how people are claiming theirs got moldy as you are only supposed to use each level for 2 days?

I’ll be honest I was skeptical about these working but they did. We have a 20 month old boy and he loved his Tommee Tippe closer to nature pacifiers. We needed to wean him off and we’re only doing a pacifier with sleep but couldn’t break the nap and bedtime habit. We switched him to the Nuk classic pacifiers then after a week on those started the Frida baby weaning system. We gave him a few extra days on each step 3/4 instead of 1/2 and on step 4 we used that pacifier for a week and once we switched to step five he was over it and held the pacifier the first two nights and then we were done.

The pacifier nipple has holes cut into them. On the first level, it is too hard to clean inside so it got dirty and moldy pretty quick.

This was amazing!! I didn’t think it would work and to my surprise my daughter did so well with the entire system! We adapted the schedule to how she was progressing with the pacis, and once we reached the last one she was totally uninterested! Highly recommend!

Baby niece was 3 years 2 months when we tried it. She was clingy but mainly at night and if we distracted her during the day, she would sometimes be okay with it. Started it with stage 2 and after that, it she got over the pacifier so fast! Definitely works. She didn’t like it much but maybe that’s what helped her leave it behind.

Our son was not fooled. I think we would have had less resistance by just getting rid of his paci outright. He only uses at bedtime, but when we tried to switch it out it only made him mad. He is 26 months.

Overall it worked to get used to a smaller paci, but toward the end we ended up having have to go cold turkey. My 2 year old was more attached to the paci than what the wean off pacis could do.

As others have mentioned, this does work and I'm a believer now! Our daughter was almost 3 when we started using this. On our first attempt we moved through each stage as described in the instructions and it was too fast for us. On our second attempt, we waited to try again at a time when she wasn't sick and I consciously decided to move slower through the stages. I think we waited a good 2-3 weeks using the first pacifier. Our daughter did notice this pacifier was different and asked for her "rainbow baba", but we told her we're going to use the "big girl baba" and she agreed. The hardest part is probably that we as parents had to decide that we were doing this and not going back. There was a lot of crying the first 2-3 nights. After that, it was no big deal. We used the step 2 pacifier for another 2-3 weeks, and she decided on her own to stop using the pacifier altogether. So, I was skeptical at first because this was expensive but this system truly did work! I worried we wouldn't be able to have her stop using the pacifier and we were actually successful!
