A: You can add a box spring under the mattress and that will give you more height but you have to take into consideration the weight of the mattress and box spring plus weight of people using the mattress to make sure you do not go over the limit.

A: A spring box is not required. The base of this product serves as a spring box and you can simply place your mattress on the bed frame directly.

Sturdy, easy to install and beautil.
Instructions were easy to follow. All bed pieces were clearly marked and some pieces even came with the nails and bolts already in place for easier set up. Loved having only 2 size screws for the entire installation process. This allowed for faster set up and less chance of making mistakes. The base has metal supports on center and sides of frame. The headboard has a nice soft cushioned material. My only dislike was that during step 5 you are shown how to assemble the headboard but then in step 6 you are told about the height options for the headboard. We knew about the two different height options before installing but feel this information should come BEFORE showing how to install the headboard together.

Super easy set up and very comfortable bed. No creaks or squeaks. My only con is that it’s a bit too close to the floor.
