I have this mat in two colors now, one I’ve been using for almost 5 years. When I ordered the most recent one I was concerned about the smell given others’ reviews and its barely noticeable. I am very sensitive to smells, especially chemical ones, and I literally can barely detect it. Not sure if there are certain colors that smell stronger than others? Or packaging/shipping differences, but I didn’t experience the overwhelming smell others note. The mat came secured with a small paper wrap, in a cardboard box, but it wasn’t wrapped in plastic, like many mats are at first. Maybe that’s the difference? For the price, this is one of the most durable mats I’ve ever owned. And I love the dual designs on each side. The grip is great and the mat is lightweight and easy to carry. It’s a great everyday mat.

This is a beautiful yoga mat. Unfortunately it smells terrible. I know PVC off gasses when it's new, but the level of fumes coming off this thing was shocking. It immediately filled the room with the toxic smell, and a strong air filter couldn't keep up with it. I'm absolutely returning it. I got one that doesn't off gass gross fumes for over a third less.

Thin yoga mat, needs extra padding. Good yoga and Pilates.

I bought 2 of these mats recently. They both have a horrible toxic smell. I have tried airing them out in my garage, but all that did was make my garage smell. I will be returning them as I do not believe they are safe to use.

I am using the mat for my yoga practice. The mat is thick enough to be comfortable and thin enough to be easily portable. The design and colors are attractive and makes me proud to use it. As a matter of fact, it is contributing to me being my best yoga self!

I purchased this a couple weeks ago, was excited to use it but as soon as I did a quick wipe with a cloth, I saw pink dye all over it. I am on a carpet floor so I don't want to take a chance and have this rub off onto my carpet - or my hands and feet. I have emailed getactv a couple times now with no response to my ask for a refund. Wouldn't buy from here again.

The mat is beautiful. Unfortunately it's almost completely unusable. I've been fighting the smell for almost a week now - I've tried vinegar and water, I've tried soap and water, I've let it air out outside all day and in the bathroom all night for days, and I wipe it down daily. Nothing works, the stink always comes back. I don't feel safe using it.

This yoga Matt has a strong smell of paint or plastic it made all of my apartment smell like chemicals and I am thinking of returning because I don’t feel safe using it

Although there is a glue/acetone smell initially, just air it out outside and add some essential oils. Smell goes away. Great quality, beautiful design, very spongy. Happy purchase! Highly recommend.

Great product, it is smelly when it arrives so make sure to air it out. Love the design, very comfy. I've only used it a couple times for hot yoga so don't know how long it'll last but so far hasn't had any shedding.

Such a horrible smell from the stamped pattern—like acetone. Literally thought my fridge was leaking freon because of this item sitting in my kitchen for 1 hour. Completely unusable!=

Toxic fumes made me dizzy and lightheaded. My roommate could smell them down the hall.
