Gallery Light - Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia

I decided to purchase this, even after reading all of the negative reviews. It appears there is some confusion on how to hang this light. There are two small gold screws on each side of the base that you can remove to easily screw the back of the light fixture onto your wall with ease then you just put the top of it back on and screw the gold screw back in. It took me less than two minutes to install. People that were complaining it arrived bent where the arm that holds the light was…. Mine was slightly off centered and all I did was turn it with my hand, and it easily went straight. The light arrived very well packaged in lots of bubble wrap and different pieces of cardboard to protect all of the parts. There was no damage whatsoever. I love the fact that the light is rechargeable and it shows a green light when it is fully charged. It has three options for different lighting, and also has four different timer settings if you want to set it and forget it. The fact that it has a remote is a bonus. The light is easily removed and put back up with its magnetic attachment. I am only 5 foot two and I do not even have to use a ladder to do this. I just take it off charge it and put it back up there. So I do not see any cons to this light except for yes eventually you do have to recharge it, but that’s what you have to do with all rechargeable lights. It looks nice. It’s easy to set up easy to use and has a lot of different features where you can customize it the way you want. It also has an option where you could have 50% of the light or 100% of the light and if that isn’t good enough, there’s a - and a + where you can adjust it beyond that. This is an excellent light for the price point and I would highly recommend it.

Bent when received

TERRIBLE! It looks cute and seems like it would function well, but *GOOD LUCK* getting it on your wall! Getting the screws in the right place apparently requires the precision of a brain surgeon. We've made two templates using cardboard, both times putting the screws through the cardboard and then into the back of the light fixture to ensure we were accurate. Both times, once the screws are in the wall, the fixture won't fit over the screws. We've been working on this for 2 hours. I'm so disappointed and can't believe I've wasted this much time on this junk. At this point, I think I'll throw it back in the box, get out the spackle and paint (to repair this poor wall), and return the mess to Target store. (For some reason, even though I bought it online, I can only return it to the store.) I feel so frustrated for the time this has stole from our day, and the damage it has done to the wall! The instructions start by saying they've made it easy. If they really wanted to make it -- well, not a nightmare at least -- they could provide a cardboard template, or even a flimsy paper template, that could be used to find the exact placement of the screw holes.

Very stylish, love that it has a remote and lets you know when it needs charged. Wish the light was out a little further from the wall so it could light up more of the art work.

The picture light looks very elegant, and adds the right amount of ambient lighting to my space.

Battery could last longer but it looks hard wired

This is a beautiful gallery light! It did require some minor alignment tweaking during installation but overall it was a pretty straightforward process. I love the look and wire-free design. I also love the magnetic design and the simplicity of removing the light to recharge it. It looks beautiful above my artwork over my console table.

Showed up with a bunch of scratches and dings in it that were not a part of the finish. The light is solid but the one I got on Amazon that was half the price was much better. Returned this one

I was so excited when I saw this, or rechargeable decent looking art light at a good price. The downside is even though it says it has a timer you have to turn the darn thing on every day. There’s no set it and forget it until you have to recharge it. Therefore, it’s pretty worthless as an art light. If I hadn’t already drilled holes in the wall to hang it, I would’ve sent it back.

I mean.. this light is convenient because it’s magnetic so you can take it off to charge it. The light colors are weird though.. even the yellow light looks odd. These are also bulky. Returned

This is up there with the H & H bookcase light in terms of just knocking it out of the park. This light is heavy and looks great. It detaches for easy charging. It has an internal red light while charging and turns green once fully charged. You have the option to set a countdown timer and dim the light. It's just really well done and so pretty.

Overall this is a high-quality Hearth & Hand product—good weight to it with a well-sized extension arm that pulls the light away from the wall enough to illuminate art in a thick frame. The remote has standard timer functions and the ability to decrease light output by 10% intervals. I dinged a star because one that I ordered came with a defective light, but the other two are solid and look and work great!

I have been looking for the perfect gallery light and this one fits the bill perfectly! Very heavy and good quality. A little pricey though.
