I own serveral rangefinders. Mostly a bushnell guy, but I decided to give this a try. It works great and if you have the garmin golf app it can give you a better location of where the pin is in relationship to the green.

I enjoy knowing the pin location (front to back) when paired with the Garmin Golf app. I would like to see manual club data inputs for club selection by the range finder.
Failed after 3 rounds of use.

Purchased this as a secondary range finder for vacation home. First time using and it was a breeze! Paired with my Garmin S62 Approach watch no problem. When ranging the flagstick, it automatically shows on my watch.

Have the Z30 and the S62 watch - there was talk of a delay in comunication bewteen the two but I haven't expericned that at all. It's fast, provides the pin location on the watch and the accuracy between the 2 is spot on. It also locates the pin fast and delivers a solid vibration. I'm going to also pair up the CT10 club sensors and considering the RS50 Launch monitor as they are all connected and will dial in club yardages. In short the connectivity and data provided is amazing

I have a Premium Garmin watch and the Garmin Golf app. Synched to both; however, the rangefinder does not connect to the watch, and is constantly disconnecting to Bluetooth. Also if your not n using the app the rangefinder doesn't work. I own the z82 rangefinder and experience the same issues with synching to the app. Great concept if it worked. Will continue to just use my Garmin golf watch. I am very te h savy so not a user error.

I'm on unit number 3, as first two just stopped working. Hit button, and LEDs light up but no distance measurement. They report having made a change in manufacturing so I'm hopeful 3 is a charm. I also don't have much success integrating with my EPIX gen 2, where I shoot and green comes up with front back pin distances... when I shoot partners location and then drive up to my ball :-) it should show same info but does not...worked at first, but perhaps I'm doing something wrong.

The Z30 works wonderfully with my S70 watch; however, there is room for improvement in the flag lock feature. I often find myself second-guessing the distance and end up taking multiple shots with this rangefinder.

I've played 5 rounds (so far) with this rangefinder and find it to be extremely accurate. The optics are very bright and clear. It's great to know the distance to the flag as well as the front and back of the green.

I've now played with it 4 times. First 2 times: flawless and awesome. Absolutely incredible! Next 2 times: multiple times I couldn't get it to give me yardage and a handful of times when it did, it didn't sync up the flag distance with the app/watch. Also, I left it once in the middle of the previous fairway - and couldn't get it to tell me where it was!

It works as advertised, it was easy to sink with my Garmin Finix 7. I shoot the flag from the cart and leave the rangefinder on metal rail of the cart. My friends are jealous

Have used a few rounds, and basically chose the Garmin over a Bushnell (I lost my V4 Shift) to complement my S70 watch. As a standalone rangefinder, I would say this is an upgrade from my V4 - built-in cart magnet, larger image in the viewfinder, and sharper/clear as well. I believe it has 6x mag vs the 4 or 5 x in the V4 Shift. Like my Bushnell, it does make slope adjustments. Also, the tournament mode on the Garmin is a little “safer” as it is controlled with a mode button on top which seems to be totally out of the way, versus the side slider on the V4 which was prone to being “unslid”. The Z30 also has an LED that activates in tournament mode so even your playing partners can see. The added benefit here is the interaction with GPS and the S70 watch. When you lock on the pin with the rangefinder, it updates the watch with the same yardage, and will adjust as you move about so you don’t need to use the Z30 again on that hole. With watch and Garmin Golf App active, the rangefinder, will also give front/back distance to the pin through the lens. This can be very helpful, however, so far it seems that the graphic of the green on the watch showing pin position is not really representative of those front/back distances - the picture on the watch seems to always show a back pin ridiculously close to the front of the green. To be fair, this may just be a product of having only used the Z30 a few times. In summary, if you already have a compatible Garmin watch and want a rangefinder as well, then I really think this is your best choice.
