Upgraded from the Venu2 and I love the extra training stats and training features. I also enjoy the compass feature as I am not great at knowing my directions.

I'm very happy I bought the Fenix 7s Pro Solar. I thought I might not like the MIP screen compared to the Venu 3s. I have no problem reading the MIP screen. The Fenix has more online data. I also like that I can put it on airplane mode at night to reduce EMF - a feature not available for the Venu. It fits my 5 1/2 inch wrist well. I thought it might be uncomfortable. With the Ultra Fit Nylon band (a bit overpriced) that I bought, the watch stays in place, it's very comfortable, and a bit lighter.

Aside from telling you how bad you are at everything, this watch has been a game changer for me in pointing out app the things that are affecting my sleep and keeping me motivated to work out. Great insights. I also spend a lot of time hiking off trails and in the mountains and the offline maps and tracking have been really helpful at both staying on track and saving battery on my phone. Great stuff!

About 3 months ago, I replaced my vivoactive 3 with the fenix 7S Pro--Solar Edition, which I figured was a major upgrade. First of all there are a bunch of new exciting features, many of which I haven't even begun to dig into so I can't comment on them. One huge difference between the two devices is the caloric burn. I deliver mail for a living, and am literally moving for 6 plus hours per day--logging over 15 miles each day. According to the fenix Pro, I barely burn any calories unless I acutally log an activity. On the average its about 500 - 1000 calories less per day then the vivoactive. Not really sure what's accurate. Also twice in the last 3 months the battery literally drained in about 12 hours. I charged it on Saturday night, woke up on Tuesday with 7 days of life left and by 11 o'clock on Tuesday it had shut down. Nothing had been turned on or changed in the settings. I guess I expected a bit more with the amount of money I spent.

I haven't had this watch long, but I love it. I was worried it would be bulky, but it's not. It's really comfortable, and still loaded with features. This was an upgrade from my beloved Vivoactive 3. I'm amazed at the battery life with everything this watch can do. I bought it for the maps feature, which I haven't used yet, but I have checked it to local trails, and it's acurrate. I'm extremely pleased with this watch, and it was worth what I paid for it.

It took me weeks to decide but this Garmin Felix 7S is exactly what I needed same size as my Forerunner and no too big. Everything works well even the sleep and nap seem very accurate. Well done Garmin.

I returned this. I think it boils down to how many functions/information do you want immediate access to. The watch dial is too small for looking at anything beyond basic watch features, basic bio information (heart rate). I think Garmin should consider a slim/smaller watch that offers simple information that will transmit most of the other stuff to your phone. It's that or wear a big watch.

So far so good! Does all of the things the previous model did and more. Do not necessarily like the constant reminders that I am not getting enough rest, via the sleep coach and body battery, but it is what it is. The solar seems to be a bit gimmicky and does not seem to provide any additional battery life relative to the previous models. I still have to turn down a lot of the screen features to get the extended battery life.

Great features but not intuitive

Love my new watch but taking a lot of time to figure it out. Definitely not intuitive like Apple, and instructions are poor. Have to upload an addition app called garmin IQ. Even after I’ve still not figured out how to upload music. It’s take hours to figure it out. I’m not a techy person so I find it frustrating. User manual mediocre at best. You’d think that “I upload garmin IQ app” woidonnenoromjently written upon opening the watch, but nope! Once I get it figured out I think I will love it. But garmin has not been good at making things easy to figure out.

Decided on the Fenix vs Epix for the solar glass and battery life, optical heart rate tracks with chest strap in terms of accuracy. Garmin pay a little cumbersome due to PIN entry compared to Apple Watch. Good integration with Garmin Connect app and health stats are similar to Whoop, although with less correlation and analytics.

I've had a Fitbit for like 10 years or more... The fenix is in a class of its own. There are so many breakdowns for your activities, so many features, the flashlight is such a cool piece (4 different brightnesses, and a red light!). It charges in the sun, it's totally customizable for you and your activities. Every day I learn a new feature I wasn't aware of. Would highly recommend this watch to anyone who likes to do adventures outside! Well worth the money for the quality.
