Not so good
I bought the fenix-47 mm watch and had it for a month with a rating of a “F”, The reason for the “f” rating is the feature do not work half the time. The sleep monitoring plus ox not monitoring. For the cost of the watch and service it provides. Not very good.

Great watch but it's quite bulky.
I bought my new Fenix E on the Black Friday sale so I was pleased with the price. Be advised, it's a very heavy and bulky watch. One of the main reasons I bought this particular model was due to the case back being stainless steel. The other models I have have the composite case back and my skin where the watch rests have been persistently irritated. To the point my skin on both wrists is actually breaking out. I thought the stainless steel would help this issue, but it hasn't. I guess I'll be upgrading to the titanium.

Hi, just bought and installed my Fenix E; very pleased and in love with it. Great big (big enough with 47 mm) amoled screen and a huge amount of settings. In the beginning, quite difficult to get to use it and the biggest problem I have is the installation of maps; the Garmin Express (with Mac) is temperamental... the apps "Connect", "ConnectIQ", "Messenger" and "Explore" works very well. I highly recommend this watch contrary to the critics.

Love this watch... mostly!
I have had this watch a couple of weeks and i love a lot about it. It has a great UI, features work seamlessly and are easy to understand and deploy. I have not figured out the map apps yet but havent tried hard. I have one complaint and that is the fit of the new band that came with the Fenix. I found it very hard to find a setting that was not too tight or too loose, my wrist seemed to be just in between. I went with too tight so the watch could get a good heart rate reading but with the design of this watch band i had to remove the watch every few hours to give my skin a break. The band was too rigid and too stiff to get comfortable. I went with an old band from my Fenix 5 and it was much better.

Outstanding watch
I was using the Forerunner 945 LTE prior to getting the Fenix-E. Lightyears different. From the amazing AMOLED screen to the various functions and features, the Fenix is in a completely different class. It's a brilliant upgrade and a wonderful tool for workouts, wellness and just general timekeeping. I love the touchscreen for data entry (reps and weight). Accuracy is excellent... altitude, climb, distance, etc. Size is perfect (and good looking!!). Great available watch faces (data-rich and analog). Just an outstanding watch all around. Love it. Well done, Garmin.

Good for activity, needs better all-round function
I bought the Fenix to replace a Samsung watch on the basis of better in-activity performance (swimming, hiking, etc.). I think if you are buying this watch primarily to track training activities, you will be pleased. However, more general functionality should be improved given the price point. I was not aware until after purchase that I can answer my phone using the watch but I cannot talk or hear the caller unless I go to my phone (no microphone or speaker on watch). This is a worthless feature and less expensive watches have full Bluetooth 'answer and talk' features. Additionally, Garmin claims that its step counting feature is more accurate than competitors because it filters out arm movements that should not count as steps. After mowing my large yard and noticing my step count seemed low, I confirmed that my Fenix was not counting my steps when my hand was on my mower. I assume this would be the case pushing a stroller, jogger, or cart of any type. To test, I wore my Fenix and my older watch both and a ankle strapped pedometer for a day. While the old watch counted about 10% more steps than the pedometer, the Fenix was 16% less than the pedometer. One can say that it is relative and day to day comparison that is important. However, Garmin markets their products for accuracy and precision. I believe Garmin has work to do to improve the accuracy of their step counting function.

Best watch I've ever had!
I bought it a month ago, and my only regret is not purchasing it earlier.

Goodbye Apple
After having the Fenix for a few weeks I keep getting more impressed. Thank you Garmin for striving to be the best. It shows. My life has changed for the better because of this watch. I can't think of another product where I could honestly say that. Thank you!

Great Value Watch
I upgraded from a Vivoactive 4. The more advanced features are very obvious. Screen is bright and vibrant. Battery life is great. Its easy to add and launch activities for tracking and workout. Easy to activate emergency settings. What keeps it from a 5 star review is the "flashlight". I know it isn't actively advertised as a key feature but its an absolute joke. It projects from the watchface rather than a side LED and on its brightest setting it doesn't even cast comparable light to a cell phone screen. Even in pitch black its useless. It begs the question why have it at all?

Cool Watch
I'm not an athlete, and I'm not an explorer. I'm a casual. But slowly learning what this watch can do and utilizing some of its features has been fun. It's tough. I like it just as much as my Apple watch if not a litte more.

Perfect Match
Long time Fenix 3 user as an avid Alpine hiker and cyclist. The Fenix 3 is everything I need and more. Gives me training and every stats that I need, where the Fenix 8 would be over kill.

Just okay
Not really impressed. Weather location keeps referring to past locations. Went out 40 miles in the Gulf fishing and marine aspects of it didn’t work. Compass was way off until I had to calibrate it. Overall too labor intensive to receive meaningful info. Not too sure it’s worth the money.

Great Alternative
To give this review context, im coming from using a instinct 1. To upgrade to a fenix was a massive upgrade. I know A lot of people recommended switching to the Epix because it was so similar to this watch. To me it was important to have the most up-to-date user interface technology, without having to overspend on the fenix 8. The 8 is great but there were so many features i was not interested in. I had no use for them so the fenix e was perfect for me. I’m obsessed with it.
